Speck 73428-1909 CandyShell Grip Case for iPhone 6/6s Plus - White/Black

I'm not quite sure what Speck are playing at these days. Their cases are always quite good around the main phone but they have a huge issue with the charging port area. I treat my phones like princesses but went through 4 old Candyshells for iPhone 4 and avoided them until this one. Having bought different makes (like Mobi or Spigen) for my iPhone 5 I've finally returned to Speck.It's lasted a month at best and has now split at the charging port area, surprise surprise!This company and their cases are a joke quite frankly. Please avoid them, especially at this price! £23 nearly. I could have just bought three Spigen cases instead.Disgraceful! Amazon don't care either as it's outside of the one month return policy.Two crooks working together!!!

This case was a great purchase. I always like Speck as a brand and this case proved no different - strong, sturdy and protected my phone from all the accidental drops, bumps and scrapes that it was exposed to, all without a scratch on it!4 stars as it lasted me 18 months, but the only reason it had to be replaced was that it was exposed to extreme temperates 35+ degrees Celcius (when mounted in my car window). This wouldn't usually be a problem in the UK, but we had a particularly hot summer! The result was that the case started to separate on the edge between the black and grey border. I tried to repair, but it was no longer fit for purpose and had to regretfully replace it. I still kept it as a spare as it would still serve a purpose.

This is possibly the toughest iPhone case currently in production. I am very clumsy with my phone, frequently dropping it. My previous case was not substantial enough to protect my phone and as a result it had to be replaced. Since using this Speck case, I have dropped my phone several times, including down a concrete stair case. There are some cosmetic marks on the case itself, but its double-layer protection system has kept the phone as good as new. It does add a little bulk to the phone, but it still easily fits into my pocket and I can rest assured that any damage to my phone is highly unlikely. The screen is also well protected by a substantial lip around the case. I cannot recommend this case highly enough!

This case is a lifesaver. The first thing I did when I got my iPhone 6S back in late September was to put it in this case, and the second thing was to slip over on a tiled floor and slam it into the ground on the way down. I was terrified, thinking I'd saved all summer to get a new phone for the first time in five years, only to break it immediately. I picked it up cautiously - and the phone was absolutely fine. The raised edges of the case meant that the phone screen never made contact with the ground, all the shock had been absorbed, and it was like it never happened at all.Over four months later, and I am still in awe of this case. The grip genuinely makes it harder to drop, and also a bit harder to gracefully get in and out of tight jean pockets, but that just means I keep it in the [probably more sensible and secure] jacket pocket instead. I drop my phone constantly, often on stone or concrete floors, and I now barely even blink when it happens - my phone will always come out unscathed.

It's a case. It fits. It's clear so you can see the phone, it hasn't crazed or yellowed or bits broken off. It's not too bulky. It seems very strong and has protected the phone when dropped. Pity it doesn't come with Gorilla glass screen protector too then it'd be perfect. It's expensive for a clip on cover but it is lasting well, I'd normally be onto my second or third phone cover by now but this one.I'd say that if this is the type of case you are after then it is certainly one of the best I've used over the years.

The iPhone six plus is a big old thing. You can't really wrap your hand round it like you can a smaller phone, and to make matters worse apple have seemingly made it out if Teflon. Without a case you WILL drop it. My primary motive in getting a case was to make it grippy, so it didn't fall out of my hand or pocket. I have always used otterbox defenders for my other phones and been very happy, but I heard bad things about the sensitivity of the screen for the iPhone six plus version. The speck case fits extremely snugly and doesn't add too much bulk, and it is as grippy as you could wish for. It doesn't have a screen protector, so you have to get one of these separately. The case stands slightly proud so the phone can be placed face downwards without the screen touching the surface. I would recommend this case but do get a separate screen protector too.

I bought this case for my new iPhone last September. It is now June and the case is unusable. The upper hard shell has come away from the base layer, leaving sharp edges .It appears to have started doing this a couple of months ago primarily in the areas where the case was cut away to allow access to sockets on the phone .I suppose I am asking too much for this to have lasted me a year, but i am disappointed because i have always bought Speck products and have never had an issue before. However it is the first candy shell one I have bought. My presumption they're not quite up to the job .

Absolutely worth the extra cost above other cases which might be light on protection. I've accidentally dropped this on the sides and the front and it's survived without a scratch (nothing on the screen protector either, although i'd definitely recommend using one) and it doesn't add too much bulk. It easily fits in a pocket and doesn't have the irritating silicon feeling which causes your pocket lining to come out when you take out the phone.It's worth mentioning it's a little difficult to remove the first few times, but it gets easier.
