Heybike Ranger 2.0 Folding Electric Bike for Adults, 1400W Peak Motor Ebike

This is a great e-bike for the price. I would lean harder into 4.5 stars but I can't. This bike gets me around Monte Sano State Park for the week with absolute ease. Charge would get me through a day or two with frequent running back and forth from the campground, to the pavilion, to events, to other campsites...etc, etc. And I am a LARGE man. I would take away a half star for poor fitment and security of the seat post and the wires are a bit to short for setting the handlebars at full height. Also, the safety latch to fold the bike in half is too close to your foot and is easily undone. The bike still needs one more step to unfold, so it is more of an annoyance than an actual problem. I would have no hesitation buying another one of these for my wife.

This is a great Ebike and I’ve had great customer service. I contacted the seller with questions about my order and they were quick to respond and were very helpful. Back to the bike though, it’s my first Ebike so I don’t have anything to compare it to but this bike has a lot of power! The pedal assist makes it so easy to ride and a lot of fun. The real fun is using the throttle! I’ve got it up to 28mph!! What a rush! It’s also pretty easy to put together it didn’t take my partner & I long at all. The seat is actually comfortable and I love that it has shock absorbers built into it. My one complaint is I find it hard to fold the frame part. I ended up kicking the frame really hard to get it to release. This could be just me needing to learn the proper technique. Suggestions welcomed. 🙂 Also there are a lot of videos online on how to put it together, how to use the bike and how to fold it. They make it look so easy. 😆 Overall I’m happy with my purchase and I would recommend this bike to anyone. Update to add that my rear basket was shipped separately days later which is why it’s not in these photos.

The best ebikes!! We did a lot of research before choosing hte Heybike and they are living up to our expectations. They ride so smooth and are nice on long bike rides where we need the extra power.

I’ve put this bike through a good mix of recreational riding and practical use and overall I’m very happy with it. The motor has plenty of power, the fat tires make it comfortable on pavement and rougher surfaces, and the battery range has been more than adequate for my needs. The folding design is useful, although this is still a large and heavy bike, so don’t expect it to become particularly portable just because it folds. Acceleration is strong, the riding position is comfortable, and the bike feels stable at speed. It has also handled carrying extra gear well, which was important to me. I’m giving it four stars rather than five because there are some fit-and-finish and convenience issues that could be improved, and the weight can make transporting or maneuvering it when you’re not riding it a chore. Overall, though, it has been reliable, fun to ride, and a very good value for the money. I would buy it again.

Beautifully made and spunky. I am impressed with the quality and ease of operation. I am 74 and was leery, but am making the transition seamlessly. Had to contact the company with a question and the customer support was outstanding. When my husband purchases his e-bike we will stay with the Heybike brand.

did not get quite a few of the parts when i ordered so i admittedly got cold feet with the bike as whole since if they're part quality control is that bad god knows how the battery quality control could be so i contacted amazon for a refund only to find out there is a 120-250$ return shipping fee. after talking with support i found out that since there where multiple parts missing it was effectively defective and was eligible for a paid label so they got me in contact with hey bikes owners jaison and they told me that i had to pay for shipping. i ended up calling amazon back and from the sounds of it they will either resolve the issue with jaison or will refund it for me via an A-Z claim.

I’ll start w. The fact I don’t need to buy a $300.00 bike rack !! Savings in my pocket! Super Cool to “fold” a bike, & pack it away in a small car such as my Subaru Impreza, a small version of a sedan !! Right in my back seat u can see the picture of my E-bike folded (lol) & headed to the nearest bike trail !! I know I need to exercise but I don’t have motivation for any of it! Not a gym, not a regular bike nor a treadmill!! This is different!!! Once I get a lil tired, my e-bike takes over until I can again!! I feel like a kid in the candy store writing this review ! Never did I think an e-bike would make a difference “motivating me to exercise” !! I test drove an e-bike bc of a contest (no I didn’t win) but that was the reason I got on one to begin w. I felt so free riding and riding!! My husband is a bike fanatic & not once have I ever said “hey let’s ride together!” I definitely said “NO TY” but with the e-bike I ride just as long as he does! And NO I am not selling myself short bc it’s an e-bike it’s the total opposite “the e-bike has me exercising” I am inspired to keep going bc when I can’t the bike can! I even go up hills!! I luv when ppl shout “wow go go! U got it!!” Lol I don’t know if they don’t know the e-bikes helping me, either way it’s motivating!! Yes the bikes heavy but I am a strong girl & I have an even stronger son that helps me when I can’t !! He assembled the bike for me, reviews say it’s easy, I’m sure it is, I guess we like doing things the difficult way… smh !! We wanted to be certain we understood so we watched utube on rewind x100 w. Paper instructions on re-read over & over !! Im still learning the gears & the computer! I did reach out to CS, I think it took about 6 days for a response but I guess it’s bc it wasn’t important or anything that needed urgency! There response was great CS & I appreciate that! I recommend Hey Bike Ranger for the Newbies, to the expert bike rider ! Don’t miss out Having Fun as Adults I also ordered my bike w. A basket for the front & back but instead I’m going for the saddle bag in back & I’ll add my basket when summer comes back!! I did read there’s a “carry bag” u can put ur bike in, to make it easier for carrying & transporting. I’m definitely going to buy that, bc when I have to put the bike in my sons trunk I have to lift it very high off the ground and it’s heavy I don’t want to scratch his car or my bike!!

Great bike for the price. This bike is well equipped, with all of the features of a bike costing twice as much.

The package arrived earlier than promised with a very few bangs. I assembled while watching a video about it. I am self-directed enough to figure out how to assemble this Ranger 2.0. It turned out to be more of a beast than I predicted. It is very heavy and foldable, but I haven't attempted this feature yet. Initial test drive proved to be smooth, and I have yet to take it out onto the road. Built well and is a solid entry-level e-bike. Yes, I would recommend it to a friend.
