Would this be large enough to help dry the air in a conservatory where I dry clothes?

Yes as I use this in my conservatory for the same thing, keeps the air dry , my conservatory is 16x 14 it's very good have it on all the time. Hope that helps

The supplier should be clearer about the power supply specifications for this. What I read is it has a five foot mains cable. If so, it's not suitable for use in a UK bathroom and should not be advertised as such.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

We have two of the smaller 500 ml ones, both in bathrooms. They have the adaptor plugged in the wall outside the bathrooms and the 9V wire going under the door around the doorpost. This avoids having mains wires going into the bathroom. They do a wonderful job, after bath or shower everything is wet and a few hours later it's all dry again. They even cope with wet (spun-dry) washing, but slowly. That's why I'm looking at the 1500 models.

How long is the mains lead on the unit.

They must have changed the design. Mine has the power supply built-in and the lead connects to it with a small 2-pin plug, not a large kettle plug.
