My 15.5 year old dog loves this food
My dog loves this food. I mix it with her other dry food or serve it by itself and she eats the whole serving. My dog is a picky eater but ever since I have started giving her freeze-dried treats and dog food she eats every bit of her food and treats. It is very expensive wish the price would come down but often you have to pay for good quality.

Outstanding food.
Think I gave you 5 stars before but this one is for senior dogs. My rescue dog was about 4 when I got him. He had been very abused . He is approximately 9 now. Love him more than anyone could know. I would recommend Dr.Marty's to anyone and in fact already have. Thanks.

Our Dog Loves it and it's Super Expensive
It's the most expensive dog food I've ever purchased. Our dog weighs 45 pounds, so she's a mid-sized model. I think if you have a "toy dog" (like under 20 pounds) this would be a no brainer, but at this price point, it's hard to stay with this. I've been "cutting it" with Blue Buffalo and other high-end dog food...brands that I previously thought were expensive. This is triple that cost. The thing is: there's nothing "bad" in it, and the dog LICKS THE BOWL. I've never seen her go so crazy over food that isn't outright a slab of meat. It's like "crack" to her. So, all in all, I guess if you want the best, you must pay top dollar. No other freeze-dried food appealed to our dog.

Freeze-dried food is "processed" food and NOT raw or fresh!
My 15-year-old male terrier mix likes the Dr. Marty Nature's Blend for Active Vitality Seniors Freeze Dried Raw Dog Food. He will eat anything. However, my 9-year-old female Chiweenie refuses to eat it. But, because it smells fishy, some of my cats will eat it. I did some "Googling" on the subject of raw (what I would call fresh) and freeze-dried foods. Here's what I learned: Foods that are freeze-dried retain the same color of that food as when it was fresh. Therefore, the pellets of Dr. Marty's should be full of colorful specks of the foods that are in the mix. Furthermore, any food that has been peeled, sliced, diced, chopped or ground is considered "processed!" Because the dog food is in a pellet form and is a uniform color (not showing any of the colors of the ingredients), it cannot be called freeze dried or raw. This food is PROCESSED! I prefer to feed my dogs homemade, fresh cooked food that is 75% meat, 15% pearl barley and 10% vegetables. However, Dr. Marty's dog food would be a good choice for earthquake emergency supplies.

my dog doesn't eat this food
I bought this dog food after watching an infomercial and reading the reviews. In all fairness my dog has diabetes and does not have much of an appetite most of the time. He does have some good days but has an equal amount of time he doesn't want to eat. It is frustrating and that is why I thought to try this food. The first impression was he was very interested and cleaned up the product. I did not over feed because of stomach upset but it happened anyway. So he had loose stool for 2 days but not diarrhea. After the first couple days he would not eat this food. He was picky but ate chicken and beef for me. I don't think I will reorder because of this and it is very expensive. I'm not saying don't try it because every dog is different and it seems to be made with quality ingredients. Interesting that it did not have any kind of discernible smell when I opened package.
