Effective Wasp Removal Using the Bee Keeper Suite, I was able to tackle the wasp nest that had been plaguing my dogs. Good tool to have in the arsenal of homeowners who take care of business.
Very well made and thought out product for the price. The material is a canvas that is light weight but dense enough. I wore jeans and a layered long sleeve tee shirt just to be sure I didn't get stung. No stings with a hive removal. I got to work and had 3 total land on the face mesh but didn't notice any others. The hive was about 12 inches by 14 inches in between a joist on the tree fort I built for my kids. When I tried it on I realize the head piece could lean back to my face when I looked up. To help prevent exposure I wore a Baseball cap under the hood and let the brim keep the mesh a distance from my face. Other then that it was perfect. As I said the huge bald face hornet nest was built under the treehouse platform and instead of hiring a company for several hundred to over 500.00 dollars to come out and take care of it I ordered this suit, a multipurpose scraper and some non-toxic wasp spray and got the job done. I'm no expert with this but to make sure you don't get stung make sure the hornets don't really see you. Move slow and deliberate and be as stoic as possible. Don't back away or flail when you are working even if they come to you. They are in defensive mode and if you aren't an obvious threat by responding then then continue to search. I scraped the hive off of the boards in my case from the side then the top and it fell to the ground. This suit is an effective tool you'll need to take care of these types of hives in your back yard that threaten your dogs and kids and family. The price is right to justify it as something to have for future use. I bought the XXL because I am a larger framed guy and it fit well. I am 6'0 and built like a line backer. It was easy to get on and off with a little help from my wife and daughter just to get it over and off my shoulders. I packed it right back in the box amazon sent it in and wrote Hornet/Wasp removal kit on the box and put it on the shelf for the next time!

To Bee or Not to Bee-suit
It took me a long time to review this product as it took the better part of a year to get past the PTSD. Stick with me here, it'll be worth the read. My wife purchased this suit for me to help my mother-in-law take down a paper wasp nest under her deck. The suit made me feel brave, but it was dusk, and they went down with barely a fight. I thought it was worth the price but didn't think I'd get much use out of it. About a month later my wife opened her walk in closet and told me there were a "few" bees in there. Being the doting husband I am, I went to check it out armed only with an electric fly swatter and saw that about 1,000.00 yellow jackets (no exaggeration here) had started digging their way into the ceiling and flying around. I ran out of the room and got suited up immediately, and got back in there, swatting them as they dive bombed me from every direction. One tried to sting me through the mask and was just shy of reaching my schnoz. I can still hear the buzzing. If you are on the fence about making this purchase, let me say that the only thing harmed that day was my mental health. I did not have one sting anywhere on me. The lambskin gloves also let you use your hands fully. It does get a little warm inside being in fight or flight for 4 hours, but that's to be expected. Get the suit, then get a therapist.

Does the job for a reasonable price
Overall, I'm glad I got the suit. It let me get close to the hornet's nest that's behind the cladding/siding of the house (can't see it, but a thin stick goes deep through a small entrance hole). First thing I did was set up a vacuum hose by the entrance -- and if professionals will see this and baulk, I have to say at least it worked! Sucked down dozens. Then sprayed some insecticide using the thin tube that comes attached and after a while put some Bayer Tempo powder at the entrance. All this without feeling a thing despite several flying at me and a couple bouncing off the suit. The only downside was the slight discomfort of the crotch area being tight, limiting my movement. I am 5'11" (just over 180 cm), so the XL is the right size. And it was in terms of shoulder width and glove fit. I'm just glad I didn't need to make an sudden movements reaching upwards. Pros *Reasonable price *Well designed, i.e., headcover has good protection between it and body suit *Elastic around ankles and wrists appears strong (don't know about long term, but for first use was great) *Good, thick quality cloth *Suede (or could be faux suede) gloves Cons *Size needs redefinition, or tweaking between shoulder and crotch

Good Protection for a Great Price
I purchased this bee suit to actually clear a bunch of brush and overgrowth next to my house. I hate all types of bugs, so when I had to take a chainsaw to clear a path under trees and and overgrowth, I knew I would need assistance protecting myself from any and all creepy-crawlies. Thank goodness I got this suit! As soon as I started cutting, all of the flying bugs including wasps started fluttering everywhere. One even flew directly into the center of where my forehead would be, but instead bounced off of the safety netting mask. I was like "Haha, not today bug!" It was great. I'm 5'5 and around 180 lbs so I got the size Large suit. It was perfect. There was enough room for me to wear decently thick clothing underneath to ensure my protection and I appreciated how the wrists and ankles of the suits had sinched elastic so that it could close around whatever I was wearing. I wore the ankle part of the suit over some rubber boots so no ants or tree branches could gain entry. There's about two inches of clearance above my head in the suit, which is nice so its not touching me the whole time. I do wish there was some sort of spacing mechanism between my head and the front of the netting face mask because when I'd bend over slightly, sometimes the netting would press against my nose. Other than that, I also liked how I felt very secure in this suit. The front has a zipper you can use to undue the suit. Then there is a velcro flap protecting the connection between the zipper and the headpiece. The headpiece also has a zipper going all the way around it just in case you want to wear the jumpsuit without the netting and remove the headpiece completely. Overall this was a great purchase. It fit really well, I felt highly protected, and it was very easy to clean considering I tossed it in the washer machine with some bleach to get all of the stains out from my outside chain sawing adventures, which made it look brand new again. Highly recommend.

Looks very well made
About a month ago while mowing the yard I got attacked by a nest of ground yellow jackets. Despite marking and avoiding the nest for the next time I mowed, I got attacked last week by a new ground yellow jacket nest near the first. After that I decided to invest in a bee suit. As others have said before, this feels and looks very well made for the price. There were no rips or holes. It came very well packaged. I am pleased with how tight the elastic is around the wrists and ankles. I got the XL based on the height suggestion (I'm 5'9). I could have probably sized down to L though as it's very baggy. I don't mind since I'd rather have more protection. I plan to wear a long sleeve cotton shirt and jeans underneath when I mow next and attempt to get rid of the nests. I will update on my success with the product once that happens. Update: I successfully killed both ground nests of yellow jackets while wearing the suit. I was able to get very close to apply pesticide powder. I also mowed the yard without getting stung. Be it there may not have been another nest in the yard, but I felt secure wearing the suit in case there was. Will keep for future mowing in case this situation happens again.

Better than I expected
In the past week I've used the bee suite twice while surrounded by a swarm of very angry bees. Not a single sting. The suit and gloves are more robustly constructed than I expected for $36. If I have any complaint ... it's that it's a challenge to get on, but worth the effort. Glad I bought it. I'd buy it again.

Found it too tight
I'm 5'-10" and ordered XXL figuring if it's big that shouldn't be a problem. Well I'm just barely able to fit. I can get it on but it has absolutely no room. Maybe i just have a long torso because the legs are fine but from the crotch to the back it is tight. This makes taking it off more difficult. Otherwise, I feel it offers adequate protection.
