Much more effective (and better looking) than a plastic bag. I've had the opportunity to use it during some pretty terrific snowfalls, had a nice covering of wet snow on the cover but nothing on the camera / lens.My only concern might be that under certain conditions you'll get some water entering around the lens, this is not a weatherproof seal (and isn't advertised as such). In these situations, I'll take the precaution of slipping a plastic bag over the lens itself, taping it to the hood.

Came just in time for my son’s football game. The first have was cloudy then the sky open up, with my wife and umbrella with my rain cover everything work out. Has my Canon 5D Mark3 w/ 70-200mm f2.8L ii lens and the cover was outstanding. Will be ordering another one for my backup camera.

I have opened an examined the material quality of the product. Haven’t actually taken photos in rain using product yet, but I think the product is very well made and a good buy!

I BOUGHT THESE TO REPLACE A VERY LARGE SOFT BOX.I FOUND THESE VERY GOOD AS I WAS ABLE TO PLACE SPEEDLIGHTS OF CAMERA IN A VERY SMALL SPACE.THEY WORK VERY WELL. CAME ON TIME AND ARE GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.THANKS.
