So this is basically a precision tool steel “die” to hammer your dominos through to get them to be a consistent size. You can see from the measurements that it slightly decreases the size, more so on the rounded edges that have ribs.What I found works best is to use a smaller domino to punch the tenon through after you hammer it flush.The end results is all the dominos will be the perfect size that they don’t need to be hammered into the work piece.I work in a dry environment so the domino size may ultimately depend on how much moisture they have. But this tool appears to work and the machining is high quality.

I was waffling on whether to get this or not because of the price as compared to the import knock off. Really glad I went with this one. Super high quality. Super sharp. Large legible marking. Definitely worth the money.

Saves a lot of woodworking time

When you need to test fit your project, slightly slimmed domino loose tenons helps the process as they can be hard to remove. This plate does the job quite well. I made a base for the plate and was very pleased on how much it assisted in the process. The plate itself is well machined. Highly recommend.

This is quite sturdy and is well made. I has been tried one time so far with decent results using softer wood dominos.
