I have tried 5 blowtorches from Amazon including a cheaper masterclass model. This is what you want. It has a large and dispersed enough flame to sear burgers, finish food out of the water bath, and lasts longer than others because of the larger cannister size.

Very good when working. Be careful not to overtighten as the mechanism is fragile and will snap.

Great torch for caramelising crème brûlées, meringues, or any number of other cheffy activities. Much larger than my previous one and I thought it was going to be overkill, but what it actually does is to spread the effective area so that you can apply to a bigger area, without the intensity on a very small spot like my previous one. Refilling is a doddle and it holds enough gas to last a really long time in a domestic setting.

I mainly use this MasterClass chef’s torch for cleaning up 3D prints rather than cooking, and when it works, it’s brilliant. It feels really solid and premium in the hand, and it looks fantastic on the workbench. It’s got a great range of power options and precise flame control — I’ve even used it in the kitchen to give steaks a perfect sear, and it handled that just as well as my 3D print cleanup jobs. Unfortunately, the build quality inside doesn’t quite match the exterior. The plastic component that controls the gas flow broke early on — it’s quite flimsy — but luckily I was able to 3D-print a stronger replacement, which has held up perfectly for nearly a year now. After a few months, the ignition stopped working properly. There’s still a spark and you can hear the gas, but it just won’t light on its own anymore. I now use the gas hob to ignite it, which works fine but is obviously a bit of a nuisance. It’s a real shame, because everything else about it feels top-tier — the design, comfort, and power range are fantastic. If the ignition and internal parts were as solid as the rest of the build, it would be an easy five stars.

It's much bigger and more substantial the many tiny torches on offer. The body tube is also quite wide, easy to clutch for adult hands but too big for children to play with.

Zero out of 5. A pointless tool. Had two of them and neither worked for different reasons. If you want a blowtorch, avoid this!. Valves did not work and ignition button didn’t either.

I use that for sushi, works exactly as I need it to work. Very good fabric, safe for the user, easy to handle and to charge with butane. I had a cheaper one in the past, but it was very poor quality with too weak a flame. This one is really good value for the price!

Impresionante, esa es la mejor palabra que se le puede decir a este soplete de cocina no sé si se podrá utilizar para utilidades de fontanería pero es impresionante me compré el Dremel 2200 y en dos años he tenido que cambiar ya dos veces de soplete me parecía profesional pero este supera en tamaño es más grande y se ve mucho mejor y más potente la verdad estoy muy contento, he de decir que llevo dos días con él. Si hay cualquier problema cambiaré la reseña

Hätte ich schon eher kaufen sollen, sehr gutes Hilfsmittel für den alltäglichen Gebrauch( Kamin, Grill, Lagerfeuer....). Eine Gas Kartusche beim Kauf dabei wäre noch besser.

Worked well for a few months until the knob for opening the gas valve no longer worked. Now it is a paper weight.
