Excellent purchase
My old slow cooker was 35 yrs old, it was time to say goodbye after all the years of use. I wanted a cooker that would remove from the base for washing. I had read reviews and oddly someone had said it took an age for the food to cook.Think maybe they hadnt understood this way of cooking. I remember when I bought my old cooker I had to resist the temption to take the lid off to see how the food was cooking. The cooker arrived on time and the colour is nice the size of the cooker is bigger, I think a small chicken could be cooked with ease.I read the instruction and thought what am I doing? I will use it in the same way I have always so I browned off the meat (Minced Beef)while the cooker heated up. I have to say it seemed to take a while for the tempreture to heat up but its new and has the added thickness of the internal bowl. Everything that when into the cooker was heated before adding, tomatoes, onions etc, its no biggy to do this and as the cooker cant seal or brown its a must. I left the control on high for a further 20 mins then turned to low and popped out to shops on my return the kitchen smelt devine of chilli cooked to perfection. My husband washed out the inner and said it was so easy to clean. This cooker will be used weekly as my old one was, its perfect as an alternative to using the oven and much cheaper to run.I would say if you dont mind the prep time 1st thing in the morning it is well worth buying.

Great little crock pot.
Great little crock pot.Very happy with it. Dial makes it super simple (didn't feel that I needed anything more complicated), colour, look and size is great.I really wasn't sure whether to get this one or a larger one, but it makes about 4 portions, so if you want something for 2 people this is great.I also considered the even smaller one (yes, I'm all over the place), but I'm glad I opted for this one, as I can now just about cram everything in, any smaller and you'd really have to think about it and measure out everything.Only small nag is that the cable is ridiculously short. You have to have it right next to the plug socket. And being in Holland I have to use an adaptor for the plug socket, but that's my own problem.

Love, love, love my Crockpot!
I'm so pleased with my Crockpot. It's years since I've owned one and I'd forgotten just how convenient they are. Not only is this Crockpot in the exact same shade as my kitchen! It is also a really good size for a small family. I have easily got portions for 3-4 people out of it.The stoneware pot comes out of the Crockpot simply by lifting and cleans up beautifully in my dishwasher. I have already made chicken meals and a soup in it. Tomorrow I have liver and bacon casserole planned. The meat comes out so tender that it falls off the bones.Another big advantage with the Crockpot is that it uses a lot less energy to cook the meal and doesn't make the kitchen feel like an oven. Also, you can cook more than meals and soups in them. I've got recipes for puddings and even gluten free bread that I'm looking forward to trying out.

Efficient little kitchen workhorse
This slow cooker is so, so easy to use! It's the right proportions for one hearty family meal, or one person with a freezer to fill.So many slow cookers now have piles of digital options and settings, but I have never needed more than this one offers. The fact that the stoneware dish can go into the oven is a godsend, and has meant some amazingly delicious meals. If you're looking for a simple investment to save you money long-term, this is a great start. From buying cheap dried beans and slowly softening them ready for dinner, to making the best of tough or cheap cuts of meat, this is the business. Although the cooker comes with a small booklet of recipes and guides, I use the internet for recipes most of the time - the best meal so far has been treacle pulled pork.

It works fine but there are some pitted marks on the surface ...
I bought this as a Christmas present. However I discovered the intended recipient already had one that they didn't use. In the end I decided to keep it for myself as I don't have one. I used it for the first time two days ago. It works fine but there are some pitted marks on the surface of the inner crock pot. It does not affect it but the lid is poor. I chose Crock Pot as a friend had one and I thought it was great. This lid is very light in comparison and does not fit well. It rocks on the pot and is a bit too small so that there are gaps at the sides so has a poor seal. The lid handle has a plate that fixes it onto the glass lid. Part of the plate is broken off. Not impressed and so glad that I did not give it as a present.

Very pretty but quite quick for a slow cooker
My first slow cooker, very pretty, owning a slow cooker makes my life so much easier. 2 things - it does seem to cook faster than a slow cooker should (stuff is usually ready after 5h on low, but I've made only 3 things so far). There is no timer function - I was aware of that when buying it and still decided to get it coz it's so pretty and I can always get a socket timer or something, but it's definitely something to consider when you're getting one. Definitely worth buying for the looks if you don't mind having to turn it on and off manually. Super easy to clean.

Roast Beef Heaven Generator
This slow cooker looks great and works wonders with the beef! I am making it on a regular basis now, and it's done in 3-4 hours on High (as they suggest in the booklet). The only thing I've learned with the slow cooker is that you actually have too pre-cook your food before you put it in - but the taste of the finished product is net superior to the food cooked otherwise (I have a gas oven). It literally takes the food to a new level of taste. I am not sure if it's healthier in any way (I doubt it), but this green slow cooker definitely won it's place among my favourite kitchen gadgets.

Pretty and Practical
I was very happy with the speedy delivery and packaging of the product. It looks exactly as it does in the picture and the colour really looks lovely in the kitchen. Its very easy to use with only 3 functions - High, Low and Warm. It came with really handy instructions including basic reipies and even better - conversion times so that I knew how long different things needed to be cooked for. It's a decent size and you can definitely get a few meals out of it if you are cooking for one or two people like I am. Shove everything in, in the morning and in the evening presto! A delicious meal.
