Budget Smart Watch with Full Feature Phone Functions!
This has got to be one of the coolest, and useful gadgets you can buy, and all for the price of either a basic watch or a feature phone, except this gives you both, and a lot more besides. I've been fascinated by what makes this watch work, so I've added plenty of pictures showing the functions, and I'll spend a bit of time explaining more about it, so here we go...You know It's a cheap Smartwatch ...but what is it?It's a clone of a clone ...what?!OK, there are countless DZ09 Smartwatches, which are all 'cosmetic' clones of the Samsung Gear 2. This cheaper DZ09, like most others, is a clone of the DZ09, they look the same, but use a different chipset, the DZ09 uses a MT6260, this clone DZ09 has the MT6261. Basically it works the same, but slightly less spec, so no video, 0.06MP vs 0.3MP camera, and apparently can't use VXP files due to insufficient memory, but that's about it.To give you an idea of where your expectations should be, all these cheap smart watches are using the same spec SOC chipset technology as many feature phones do, and therefore, they have pretty much the same functionality as one, and since most also run the same Nucleus OS, some of their menus, and ringtones etc are the same too, unless they've been customised. To have all of that in watch, for such a cheap price, makes these pretty amazing devices, but. IMO, unless you know for sure what chipset a budget smartwatch is using, or want a particular style, it probably isn't worth paying much more, as it may have a different model number, but it'll probably just have the same chipset as this, and even the same 1.5" 240x240 resolution screen. So, what can it do?Well first things first, if you want to use it's camera, or music player, you'll need to insert a Micro SD card, as it has a tiny amount of storage space. As for the phone features, that depends on how you want to use it. It can basically function either as a feature phone on it's own, or bluetooth phone / notifier by using an app with your Android phone (most popular), or both, which is what I decided on.So, to use as a phone, you'll need to insert a Micro SIM card (Apparently some don't work, I used an Asda SIM (EE), and that works fine), you can then make calls, and send / receive texts. The other option is connecting the watch to your Android phone (Can work with iPhone but with limited functionality) using Bluetooth. This option will 'push' phone notifications to your watch, allow you to access your phones phonebook & text messages, transfer files to your watch (pictures, mp3s etc), make a call via your phone, and even remote capture pictures on your phones camera, clever huh? It is, but it does require downloading a 3rd party app, which needs permission to access just about every part of your phone, which you may or may not be happy about doing, as it involves allowing 'install from unknown sources' in your phone's security. You can get an app via the built in QR Code, or using one from the Play Store, I've tried about 4, including the Mediatek one, and all have their pros & cons, but basically do work. What I have noticed, is that they takeover most of your phone's sound, re-routing it to your watch, so for example, you may use a music player on your phone, but the sound plays through your watch! It'd be better if you could choose, but other than that, it does exactly as it says on the tin, which is great. The other features of the smart watch are pretty much the same as a feature phone, except it has just 1 button, and uses a touch screen, so there's a music player, camera (240x240 res, about 0.06MP), calculator, pedometer, etc, and of course it's also a watch, with a choice of 3 faces. You may also notice Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp and a browser, but these will only work if you have SIM card installed, there's no WiFi. You need to add your networks APN settings manually to use this, not something I've tested yet, but would assume it'll be like 2G WAP internet, so nothing like your Android phones browser. AFAIK, the social media apps probably aren't pre-installed, but are download links to possibly a suitable Java/VXP file or something, who knows. There you have it, I'll let the pictures do the rest, but overall I'm just totally blown away by how much functionality this cheap watch has, it's quite incredible, the kind of device you only ever saw in a Bond film. Even the watch itself is surprisingly well made and good quality, the screen is only 1.5", but clear, and rwith a good size strap which fits even my large wrists (most don't, even Casio) ) and the battery lasts about a day with BT on, or about 3 days with BT off, but it also depends how much you use it, and brightness settings etc.Any Negatives? It's a bit like having a 70s LED watch again, you have to press a button to see the time, and if it's really sunny, quite hard to see the screen. It's not waterproof!I'm not used to having to take a watch on & off for charging, which over time will probably break the strap. I've solved this, by connecting a charging cable to it whilst wearing, and using my computer, since I use it almost every day anyway, and you don't even notice after a while, so I can just carry on typing, infact it's charging on my wrist right now.I only needed a replacement cheap watch, but for the same price I've got a smart watch, that's also a phone. Fantastic!Negativess are,

Will recommend this smartwatch if someone is looking for
This smart phone watch is probably one of the smallest smart phone device. Almost all the work can be done same as a smart phone in the small screen. It has a camera, sim slot, slot for memory card. Really easy to connect to the smartphone to get all the messages, if sim is not installed. It has pedometer, FB, Twitter, Whatsaap etc preinstalled . A good product to buy if someone is looking for smartwatch. USB cable is provided for charging the device.
