Fleet Farm® Hay Bale for horses - Approx 17-23kg / 100x50x40cm - BOXED - FREE P&P

After being unable to get a hay bale from our usual suppliers I found this and gave it a try and have to say we are very happy. We have Very happy bunnies and very happy skinny pigs, all munching away and happily snuggled up, so of course we are happy. Its Good quality and good amount for price. Its Not dusty etc.. or anything. Was nice fast delivery no problems whatsoever. Due to amount of rabbit's etc.. we have we need to buy in large quantities and look for good quality at a reasonable price etc.. this would also be perfect for any animals that eat n use hay. We Will get again.

Thought I'd give this a go as I've never able to get really dry hay bales locally, and the cost of packets of hay is a lot for 4 pigs. As I live in Northern Ireland I phoned the seller to discuss if there were any extra cost for shipping - none at all, just 48 hour delivery to allow for going by ferry. He was also very helpful and advised I store it in the box it comes in, in my garden shed, just leaving the top open to allow for air flow, to cut the two strings and to use the box as the dispenser. Very friendly service. Received quickly, hay is very fresh smelling, dry and my 4 guinea pigs love it - I am using it mainly for bedding, they love eating it too, and I putting the finer chopped pet shop hay in a hay racks. Reckon it will last for at least a few months, and then I will be buying more.

I got this for my rabbit....l must say it is a huge bale of good quality hay.....and it was packed up nicely in cardboard.

This hay is wonderful! completely dust free and packaging is all recyclable ( a bonus!). Smells super fresh & has a lovely variety of long green/brown strands. This hay is far better quality than anything i've bought from a shop. Great value for money too! Delivery was really efficient - the hay arrived next day and i was given a time slot which was fantastic! my guinea pig herd definitely approve!!!!

I have been buying this hay for coming up to a year for the kids guinea pigs. It is good value but the quality does vary. Some deliveries the hay is fit to use only for bedding (as some reviews point out). It has been straw like, dry and even musty. On other occasions the hay has been outstanding - green and sweet smelling and the guinea pigs love it. I guess this is a reflection of this being a local farm product and the variable nature of nature itself. On balance we have had more positive experiences than negative and it is more sustainably packaged and priced than the pet shop stuff. So will keep buying and have given it 4 stars rather than 5.

Fleet Farm always deliver (In my experience) before the amazon estimated delivery date. DPD dropped my last order three days earlier then what Amazon predicted. As with my past purchases from Fleet Farm, this hay is superb and just what our two rabbits needed for the winter months. Bale comes tied and boxed, promptly by DPD. Value for money and convenience of delivery to your door is awesome. 20kg approximate weight will last our two rabbits easily until spring-summer.

Wouldn’t buy for small animals. Probably good for horses but not small animals. Bought as my usual supplier wasn’t available for my rabbits. I cancelled the order before it was dispatched because my usual supplier was showing as available but they sent it anyway. I kept it as felt bad for delivery person but it’s very very dusty and super duper hard to pull apart( broke a lot of nails despite wearing thick gloves).

Great hay, fast delivery and exceptional value for money. The first thing you notice about this hay is the sweet smell. I was buying compressed bags of hay previously for my rabbits and guinea pigs, that was dusty and smelt musty in the middle. I wasn't happy feeding the it and they weren't that keen either. The bunnies and guineas can't get enough of this. This is my second purchase and will definitely be reordering.
