Great All-around Set
The KDCX7100 has a number of great playback options with smartphone integration, it is one of the best car stereos I have owned because of the amount of control it gives you over shaping the sound to your preferences.It has loads of equalizer band presets and the EQ system is designed to enhance your music for specific driving conditions, the KDCX7100 gives you more control over the shape of your sound than any other car stereo I have had. The playback options include everything from a high-fidelity CD player to DAB Radio receiver which comes in the box, unlike a lot of DAB radios. Overall a perfect radio with many great features for gettign the best sound out of your speakers.

Best car stereo out there?
Definitely one of the best players on the market. Matched all my requirements: No front USB, NFC pairing, CD player , BT , and wonderful DAB+ capabilities. Plus a load of other features I didn't thought I needed : equalizers and subwoofer preamp out in the back. This is a brilliant product and worths every pound. I recommend this stereo!

Useless car stereo reciever. And for me to star this I have to push one star that it doesnt deserve
My kenwood car stereo is awesome but the CD player doesn't accept a cd. Did reset button doesn't work at all. With a bit of luck kenwood or amazon will send me another one.

No illumination dimming with car headlights
Note to anyone who is interested in this. I discovered that this headunit (and most of the latest ones from kenwood range eg 7000dab) do not have the illumination cable on the connector which means that the display doesn't dim when you turn on the vehicles headlights at night. Instead it has a stupid function of dimming at certain hours of day, which unless you live at the equator is pointless.KDC-73DAB does NOT have this problem , it has the proper illumination/dimmer function but only that particular model. Why Kenwood decided to save 0.002p this way is beyond my comprehension.
