Every home and every class should have a Harry
I absolutely love this book and I so wish Harry's books had been around when my children were young. It is a gentle rhyming book with repetitive text to join in with, a perfect book to read to young children, with beautiful illustrations. Within its pages there is also a strong message about being kind to others - yet expecting nothing in return. Instead, the kindness is passed forward - and forward again.... When I read it to the younger children at school (4 to 7) in a kindness assembly, they were captivated by the idea of an "invisible string of kindness" being passed from person to person. They had lots of ideas about how they could help others, and were even talking about it the next day! Every home and every class should have a Harry.

My grandson loves it!
A lovely quality book which I bought for my 3 year old grandson. He received it 2 days ago and carries it around with him and "reads" it all day long! I had sent my 9 year old grandson a book in the post as a surprise during lockdown and my 3 year old grandson was so upset that he didn't get one. I ordered this straight away and it arrived sooner than expected 2 days later. This is the kind of book that will get young children interested in lifelong reading as it is illustrated perfectly for them and has a great moral about kindness. He likes it to be read to him and he likes to "read" it to himself and to his mum or baby sister. He is beginning to recognise some words and likes to talk about what is happening in the story.

Cute and magical story for children
This is a wonderful book with beautiful illustrations and a lovely story. When I read it to my kids, at first they werenโt keen as they donโt usually like rhyming stories but they absolutely loved it. The story has a nice flow to it and a great moral of teaching kids how to be helpful. My kids were drawn into it and they were really happy at the end. I really liked it too. All the characters were so cute. I would definitely recommend this as a great read for all.

Beautiful, lovely book. 4 Year old loves it. BUT, needs a proof-reader.
I bought this for my four year old. I am utterly sick of reading it, because it's been a firm favourite for a least a solid month. The rhymes roll nicely off the tongue, too. The morality is nice. We'll end up owning the rest of them soon, I know it. Is it a lovely book? Yes. Are the pictures lovely? Yes. I've enjoyed explaining to my little boy about the different ways of shading things too; pointillism as shading is an art style not often seen. He was very curious about it. Does it make my child happy, engaged, and want to read it again and again? You bet. Does he make a much better effort to do kind things now? And can I tell him he should be nicer when he's being less than well behaved? Yes, and yes. It's lovely. But for someone who proof-reads, I thoroughly ITCH when I read this. I will soon go through with Tippex and a thin black permanent pen to correct the myriad of punctuation mistakes before my child learns to read and internalises the incorrect or consistently inconsistent way of punctuating speech, etc. I hope in future editions this is rectified.

A must have children's book which teaches a much important lesson
I decided to buy this book after hearing about it on a Facebook book club. I was a bit optermistic at first because I wasn't sure what to expect in all honesty. BUT WOW I was amazed at what I recived in the post. I was treated to a beautifully illustrated book with a beautifully written story of the importance of helping others who are in need and trouble. I very much liked how the author has made everything rhyme. My 9 month old god daughter absolutly loved the colourful pictures and the rhymes even though she can't understand it properly. I will defanetly reccomend this book to any one with young children

Lovely book.
Lovely well illustrated book, which I got for my grandson's 4th birthday. Which he already had!. I should have checked with my daughter first. So he's now got one for upstairs & downstairs. Lol. I've recently bought 2 other Harry the happy mouse series, for part of his Xmas presents. They both look equally well illustrated, & 2 I definitely know he hasn't already got. I definitely recommend this book.

Fussy Font
Nice story but the font used really hurt my eyes and the grand children found it impossible to read for this same reason. Children's books should be written in a simple, clear font that both adult and child can use - otherwise what is the point.

Poor printing quality, something missing from the storyline
This is a cute book, but for the price I would have expected the printing quality to be better. The pictures are dull in color and grainy. The story itself is okay. I love the idea behind it, but it's not very well executed. There are a couple instances of "pay it forward" that are cute, but the end is a party for the mouse who started it all. I would have liked to see the story tied together using something other than a reward/incentive for being kind. Some of the rhymes were clunky, and the phrase that is repeated multiple times is not catchy or fun to say so my child and I just got bored. I have to say I was disappointed in this book, perhaps because my expectations were so high based on the glowing reviews.
