Would this be suitable for securing bar tape on a road bike?

As a bike mechanic I understand your question. Most electrical tapes like this work well as finishing tapes. If you find it is not very sticky or the end of the tape lifts over time, heat up a nail, old spoke or something similar with a lighter an use that to seal the end of the tape. Don't go mad and get the metal object red hot, you just need it hot enough to melt the tape. Assuming you finish you tape under the bars, you'll never see this seal when riding the bike. I do this all the time, even on tape I know sticks well to 100% guarantee it will not lift up.

Are you talking about the upside of the carpet or the backing?... If it's the upside, then it does, but not particularly securely... It sticks quite well to the back of the carpet though.

Would it be ok to cover the end of an unused coaxial cable for a long period of time? Cant remove the cable from the house.

Can I use this to cover exposed wires on lawn mower cable? I mowed over it oops!

Yes but would be safer if you bought electrical connectors they are really cheap and all you need is a little screwdriver then rap the insulation tape around the plastic connectors to be on the safe side but if you prefer to use just tape then you need to separate the three wires then individually connect blue to etc then gather the three wires and use more of the tape to bind them altogether
