Does this have a curved back which would make it good for barrels?

Sorry for the delay in replying but I wanted to make sure I checked it before I answered you. Yes I would say it would be fine for barrels as it does have a curved back to it, which should support the barrel.I'm a little confused after reading the other answer as I can guarantee you that mine is NOT straight. If you were to put a barrel on it it woul be supported, mine does definitely have the support for it.

If used to move paving slabs, would the slabs touch the wheels therefore stop wheels from moving?

No. The wheels are behind the front if that makes sense.

What is the size of the actual platform where items sit?

9 inches out in front and 14 inches wide pretty solid as well.

Does anyone know the full dimensions of the item?

its slimline and tall...i sold mine on......xx
