Great quality pen that looks lovely
I love my lamy pens. I needed a replacement ballpoint cartridge, but went the full hog and bought a new pen. I love this soft pink colour, it's pretty without looking naff. Does exactly what it says on the tin
Very sturdy pen that's now my go-to. I have a few moments where the ink takes a second to get going, but if you warm it up, it goes all day. You can spend a fortune on a good pen but this is more than functional and will cover uou for years

Real shame about the inks
I really really like the pen body, the grip is what I've wanted for years. Absolutely ideal shape, allowing precise control with max comfort. I could write with this for hours and hours. I am highly disappointed by the refills though. They have been good for a few weeks, but suddenly become dry, scratchy and skippy. This is continuous, not intermittent. I have experienced this with 3 refills now. Also, the refills are proprietary, there's no easy way to switch to something else. Consequently, this makes the pen unreliable, which is unacceptable for use at work.

Great Quality Pen and so nice to write with
I really don't understand the mixed reviews on this pen. I have been using a Safari fountain pen for over a year now and still love using it. I needed a ballpoint pen for everyday use, travel. From the moment I got this pen I knew it was a keeper. The smoothness of writing is far better than any Parker jotter. The click retracting mechanism feels solid and robust. Perhaps I like it so much because of the ergonomic grip, which is the same as the Safari Fountain pen. I could write all day with this Ballpoint. Yes it is a bit more cash than the Jotter and it has a proprietary M16 refill. However the M16 is way nicer to write with than the jotter. If I had to use the M16 refills forever I would have absolutely no problems with this. The M17 Jet is on the horizon for this Safari and when it becomes available, and when I need it I will try it. Buy this pen, you will not regret it.
