Sakura SS5144 Tyre Service Kit

Bigger than I like but tolerable. Accurate and easy to use. Don't know how durable as it travels in the car i.e. does not get bashed around. I suspect it will self destruct if you forget to change the batteries and it leaks out

This is quite useful but its a bit tricky getting the positioning right, if it's not in exactly the right position it let's out to much air and then you need to put more air into the tyres.

I recalled reading a comparative test of the latest tyre pressure gauges in a fairly recent back issue of Auto Express magazine (19-25 July 2017 - No. 1,482 - pp 62-63) and there I found this '2017 Best Buy', namely a digital 'Sakura Tyre Service Kit SS5144.' It conveniently also includes a simple yet effective mechanical Tyre Depth Tread device and to quote the reviewer: "The pressure gauge was spot-on for both tests".This is a genuinely excellent product at a remarkably inexpensive price (£5.00), which incredibly even includes free UK delivery.....now you can't say fairer than that ! Unreservedly recommended.

Terrible product. The pressure gauge stopped working properly less than four months after purchase. It now gives wildly inconsistent readings each time it's used, and the rubber bit inside the nozzle has fallen out too. Not sure if I was given a faulty one, but it's hugely disappointing as it worked well enough the first few times I used it.

I've found the best way to use this without losing air when trying to take a measurement is to press it firmly onto the valve at a straight on angle.If you're too soft or at an angle you will lose air. Pressing it firmly and straight on gets an instant reading.

Easy to use.

Works really well, gives an accurate reading when I compared it with the garage pressure gauge.

Changed from analogue to digital as old one broke ,after many uses, this read half a bar less ,not sure which is correct but went with new one .Very easy to use ,neat and tidy ,I like it .Ron
