Excellent paint. Goes on easy with a brush. On the thin side but this was perfect for soaking better into the end grain of timber. Not drip free so cover surfaces well that you don’t want painted.Brushes (and hands!) clean up well with white spirit.

Does the job. I used this in the recent hot weather and it was very easy to stir to quite a thin liquid and very easy to apply to my shed base rafters. It set to a good thickness and should keep any damp out for years.

Great product just what I was after. After prepping area set about painting this on. It's a messy exercise but worth it. Because it's not paint as such it takes some application but the finished job looks good

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brilliant for Decking – Seals and Protects Perfectly!I'm currently in the middle of building a deck, and I bought this Everbuild Black Jack 901 Bitumen Paint to seal and protect the deck joists and posts before installation — and honestly, I'm seriously impressed.The coverage is excellent. A single 5L tin went further than expected — it goes on smoothly and dries to a tough, durable coating. It sticks really well to the timber and gives me real peace of mind knowing that the structural parts of my decking are protected from moisture and rot. Especially in the UK where the weather is unpredictable, this is a game changer for long-term durability.I also liked how quickly it dries for a bitumen-based product. It’s thick but manageable, and I was able to get two good coats on without waiting all day. It’s perfect for anyone wanting to do a job properly — especially if you care about the longevity of your project.Highly recommend for anyone working on decking or any timber that will be exposed to the elements. Would definitely buy again and already looking at other Everbuild products to use on future DIY projects.

This is relatively easy to apply. Use a cheap or old brush as it can’t be cleaned.It goes on thick and dries hard to the touch - not sticky.No real odours .The posts have only been in a few months without any issue but I am really confident this will provide years of protection.

Absolutely the best stuff for reproofing your shed roof. I now do it every other year when i am repainting the rest of the shed and i expect that i am adding years onto the life of it. Do not listen to claims of 5-10 years for shed protection. Do it every other year and your shed will serve you well. If this review serves anyone this is the advice you should take away, wear OLD clothes when painting with this and disposable gloves. It will ruin your clothes and is a royal pain to get out from under your nails. Also use cheap paint brushes as you wont be using your brush again once you have finished. All of that should tell you that this stuff lasts. If it washed off easily, then the rain would just as easily remove it and your roof would eventually succumb to leakage. It just does not come off. It does have a strong odour but you're using it outside and once it dries it is fine. It is well worth the investment.

Purchased to replace old 5ltr tin which had run out. Comparing this product is thinner which can help in application but coverage/thickness of layer is slightly compromised in my opinion. Will be able to finish jobs, but wouldn't purchase again.

First time user, easy to apply, single layer was all good. Smells really bad. It wasn't that bad to get off my hands. Do suggest gloves.
