Haven't had this much fun in years!
(note: I am a teenager writing on my mum's account.)I honestly have to say that I think this is one of the best command and conquer games on the market. I am a fairly large fan of command of conquer and I have played on all of the previous ones and this one tops them all.BEWARE you actually do need a good computer to play this game to its full potential. When I got I thought the graphics were poor. You need to turn all graphics to ultra high really, then you have the amazing graphic quality you actually want. The gameplay is fluid and the story is strong with most units being intersting and well thought of.The idea is the same: command your armies, conquer your enemies (never needs changing) but EA has made the tiberium, laser esplosions and collapsing buildings beautiful to watch,(especially collapsing buildings as they actually degrade properly). If you are new to C&C I do recomend that you buy command and conquer;the first decade, before purchasing this game as it will get you familiar with the story.Another review said that the mission Croatia on the Gdi campaign was impossible. This put me off until my brother on his second attempt completed this mission (I do the nod campaign my brother does Gdi's)and I as a just as good or better player could easily do it.There were, I noticed a few complaints about online play and I have to say if you don't like it set rules no rush and superweapons off.So if you have a good computer and have played the other games, what are you waiting for.Haven't had so much fun in years. GAME ON!

if working is great. However
The single star it because it would not play. The game, if working is great. However, it would not accept the code supplied on the booklet that was in the box with the DVD so would not install. Tried many times, and triple checked, but it wasn't going to accept. The game was returned. Delivery was prompt, and returning could not be easier, was a shame as I have played previous C&C games years ago and had a 'retro' moment. Good luck with your copy if you buy :)

Updates Not compatible with new systems, even tho the game is
The game itself, is still fantastic and one of the best games of its kind. But it cant be updated. I tried to update it and it is not compatible with new computer systems. With that in mind, dont bother getting it. You can still play it, but only the basic game and skirmish on basic maps.

Good but short game life
This is quite a good game however the life of it is fairly short if you do not have the internet on your PC (and I do not). There are the 2 main campains and then a short third campain as the Scrin invaders. The GDI have similar weapons to that which apperaed back in the first and second Red Alert games so even though it has moved from cold war to Tiberian war some of the weapons are still the same.Vast improvments have been made however in gameplay as patrol paths can be set for your units to follow. Also you units have a retreat mode where they face forwards still shooting and there strongest armour facing the enemy whilst moving away to regroup. The battles are fun and can last for hours.Even though the battles are long and there are over 30 campain missions after that there is not much to do. Without the internet you can play a few skirmish missions against the AI but after that it is fairly dull. I expect the life would be longer with a internet connection but I do not know.

despite the talk a very good game
I am writing this review as a player of all the games in the C&C series. This game does indeed provide the best graphics I have ever seen for a game that boasts it! The down side to this is that despite what the recommendations are, you need at least 1GB RAM, 256MB graphics card (powerful one) and a good processor (either 3.5GHz or a dual core). Having spent allot of money upgrading my computer in order to play this game it was well worth the wait. You get the option of three factions just like C&C generals; Scrin (aliens), GDI (good guys) and NOD (terror cell). The missions are exciting and full of amazing scenery and great characters. The main downside of its game play is that the maps are very simplistic and symmetrical; they don't show diversity like the red alert series. It is simple and easy to use and has different difficulty settings to choose an AI that bests suits you. Overall it is a fantastic game (unlike the bad publicity it has received) but I emphasize the point that you really need good performance on your PC to appreciate this game fully (don't worry if you really don't want to upgrade, the game can still be played but on low graphics)

Superb
I have been an avid fan of the command & conquer series from day one from the very first release years ago by Westwood studios and how they have improved ever since. In particular I'm a great fan of the Tiberium wars games and is the favourite. At first it was a little culture shock to see the difference from the first game of Tiberium wars episode, some of the fighting machines I loved have gone missing but there is still some of the most loved ones are still there. New machines have arrived though and are terrific. Top marks to EA to bringing out Command & Conquer Tiberium wars series 3. What a game! Buy it you will not regret it.

Yawn...more of same
I eagerly awaited this game but only spent around 5 hours on it once loaded. It is just the same old, same old. If youve played generals then dont bother with this...yeah graphically it's better but that's about it. Really, zero innovation here.Yawn
