Finally replaced 36-Year Old Sorel Snow Boots
The old Sorel snow boots in my closet were purchased 36 years ago and they've provided me with dry, warm, and comfortable 'winter' feet 100% of the time since Day One. Being in Colorado my whole life, I fully appreciate the importance of snow boots. The new Blizzard XTs I purchased a few weeks ago from Amazon at 15% lower cost than directly from Sorel, are even better in terms of the quality of the interior materials, overall insulation factors, and general comfort. The two pair of boots look nearly identical...pure Sorel! By the way, the older boots, which are Size 9s, are not damaged, but I wanted to have a pair of reliable snowboots in my Subaru and that's their new home. The new ones, which are size 10s, are in the front closet and have already been worn twice since their arrival. They are perfect. The new boots which are warmer than the old ones, run a little bit smaller, so I'm wearing regular socks...not winter / ski socks....with these new ones. That's how efficient these boots are for overall warmth.I'd definitely suggest purchasing 1 full size larger that your normal shoe / boot size (which I did at the suggestion of a salesperson at REI). If you have a store in your area that carries this Sorel boot, go try them on to make sure about sizing. For me, a size 9 would have cramped my toes....the 10 is great. A 10.5 would have been even better, but since I'm not wearing thick socks in these due to their warmth, it's a moot point.

Sorel quality as good as it was 40 years ago with my first pair.
Just as stated in my "headline", my first pair of Sorel's were purchased well before Sly made them famous in a "Rocky" movie. Wouldn't have thought of replacing them except the rubberized inside coating on the "gator" portion of the Boot has decided to give up the Ghost. Saw these on a Cyber-Monday sale and thought, "if the boots half as good as it's older Sibling, and at this price" might as well pull the trigger. Got two pairs, my replacements and a pair for a Son who travels I-80 in the Winter. We've both worn them and have come to the same conclusions. The weight is greatly reduce which causes less fatigue in your feet and legs after an 8 or 10 hour shift in the cold. The weight reduction I think has a lot to do with the new felt liner used in the insulation which also has the new "reflective foil coating". Anytime you see a Emergency Thermal Foil blanket you'll understand the concept. There are no open seams on the Boot to let moisture in. Good grip on the sole for stability and limited slipping. You won't go wrong if you need a tough, waterproof, supremely warm boot for working in cold, wet weather by choosing the Sorel Men's Blizzard XT Snow Boot, period.

Sorel, made in Vietnam
As the Title reads, they are made in Vietnam. I had a pair of Sorels many years ago and they were perfect, the best boots I’ve ever had on my feet. I believe at that time they were made in Canada. I’m not sure why but these are much tighter around the toes and feet than they should be. I ordered size 13 and can’t imagine needing a size 14. Perhaps they run small now they’re being made in Vietnam, I don’t know! I’m hoping that after I wear them they will loosen up. I guess we will see!

In between...
I liked the price is why i bought them and their Sorels too, ok for cold weather, a little bit narrow and main annoying thing is that when i take off my boot the liners like to try to tag long and come out every time.

-72F and still warm!
I wear a size 10 shoe and had to return to get size 11 in these boots. I am quite pleased with the temperature rating they came with -40F... I wore them in -43F actual temp in Yellowstone National Park snowmobiling Dec 2016 with a -72F windchill and my feet never got cold and only one cotton sock!!! We were out in the crazy subzero temps from 8am till 6pm.... never once did my feet get cold.... I have shoveled snow and slush back home with a foot of water standing in it and never got wet inside. The only downside is the stretchy cinch around the top of the boot snapped off from the attachment on the back of the loop inside... So I plan to remove the cheap stretchy cord and sew in some paracord instead...

Thoroughly tested and slightly disappointed.
I bought these because I have a condition called Rynauds, basically poor circulation. I was hoping the extreme lining would keep my feet warm while hunting in northern Minnesota and central Wisconsin. They did not keep my feet warm. The comfort is great and once broken in they are easier to put on. However, the blizzard claim didn’t keep my feet warm with temps of 15-30 degree range. I doubt they’d be warm when it’s below zero. Over all not worth the price if you are looking for warmth.

Great looking boots…BUT
Great looking boots. Not good for Snowmobiling as they are not warm enough. Temps were between 0 and 10 degrees and feet were cold even with 2 pairs of socks on. Great for shoveling snow when you are in and out quickly.

Nice Winter Boots.
I bought a pair of Sorel Winter boots almost 20 years ago, and it is still in good shape, and it never disappoints. This is my second pair (yet to be worn) which I believe will be as comfortable and durable.

Excellent Boots
I purchased the to replace a pair of "Absolute Zero" boots that started falling apart almost immediately after receiving them from Sears. These Sorel's are excellent snow boots and have been wearing very well. Should have bought them in the first place rather than cheaping out by buying a poor product that came apart at the welded and stitched seams.
