I’ve been really impressed with this helping‑hands setup. The base has a good weight to it, so it doesn’t slide around while you’re working, and the flexible arms hold their position better than I expected. The alligator clips have a firm bite without being overly stiff, which makes it great for soldering small wires, electronics, and even little craft projects. The extra arms are a huge plus — having multiple points of contact makes jobs cleaner and a lot less frustrating. The joints stay tight, the clamps rotate smoothly, and everything feels well thought‑out for the price. It’s one of those tools you don’t realize you needed until you use it. If I had to nitpick, the metal clips could be a touch stronger, but they still do the job well and haven’t given me any real issues. Overall, this is a handy, reliable little workstation that’s made my soldering projects much easier. Definitely worth picking up again.

I bought it to fix up my Xbox controllers and do light repairs on my electronics. The quality of the grippers is excellent. The grips come with rubber pads to prevent board damage and the diy put together was easy and hassle free. The arms bend every which way and stay bent like that for months at this point. Very functionable, very cost effective, very versatile. Wish I could give it a higher rating than just 5 stars

Pretty good. Does what it needs to, but the rubber cover on the hands melts easily and should’ve been silicone. A good purchase overall and very secure.

The base is steel, not plastic or aluminum, so has some weight to keep everything stable. The two lengths of flexible arms are more versatile than if all were same length. The flexible arms are not "floppy" ... stiff enough to hold objects of reasonable weight for soldering, painting or inspection, but still easy to position without needed 3 hands! This would not be suitable for operations that require some force be applied to the object held ... i.e. sanding, drilling, polishing, Dremel tool type stuff. It's not intended for this and absolutely won't work well. I also liked the fact .... it came with 2 extra alligator clamps ... a cheapo screwdriver for assembly in case someone didn't have one .... and a "Thank You" card in the box.

Very solid with a nice heavy metal base. Came with an extra alligator clip which is nice to have. The arms seem strong enough to hold a good amount of weight for larger projects.

Had to pull the grinder out for the defective screw but def. Great product!

As shown in the picture, there is rust on one of the clips. It comes with replacements, but this is annoying. It was not exposed to liquid. Other than that they work pretty well

Wonderful "third" hand for those of us who were born with only two. The arms are of sufficient length. Two are longer and two are slightly shorter. Some assembly required (but nothing like IKEA). I was concerned before I bought it that it might tip easily if supporting a heavier item. Once it arrived I discovered that the base weighs enough to securely hold the item you are working on upright. Great for holding items steady while one hand delivers the solder and the other holds the iron. Don't know why I waited so long to get one.
