Excellent Purchase, well built and worth every penny I spent!!
I'm writing this review to describe my experience with the SincMill SCM-1148L. I did a lot of research and shopping for a home workout setup. I watched You tube video's and also checked out the versatility and functionality of the most sought after setup's. First and foremost, this was an excellent buy. For the money your getting one heck of a workout center. This is a unit that has a very robust setup and is super solid and made for extensive workouts. I will outline what I think might be important to mention or at least was important to me. First: This package came in 4 boxes. They were heavy. Make sure you have help moving the boxes to where ever your going to put this unit together. The weight boxes were super heavy by them selves. The packaging was extremely solid and put together for shipping. NO problems there. And I was not missing any of the parts at all. Second: Putting this unit together was actually easy. In that I mean the directions were very laid out and easy to follow. I would think that the manufacturer could make the diagrams bigger or explode them up a little to see the parts flow in the directions. There are blowups on integral parts thought, which is good. I actually used the video's on You Tube that outline, in 3D, the installations step by step in great detail. I probably watched the video more and only referred to the instruction manual when things got confusing. I went back and forth on the video, stopping and pausing the video in each and every step. The first cable installation (Youtube video) was confusing as it flows right into the second cable install. (Watch my video as I outline the first cable install). The flow of the cables and how to install them can be confusing. But all in all it is easy and once you get the hang of it installing the cables, it is easy. The parts layout and the nuts, bolt, washers and all were laid out in the order of the steps to put it together. Which was an awesome advantage for following the directions on the video as the video also mentions the part numbers as you go through the video.. I put this unit together in roughly 4 hours. If you have a second person handy have them help you. Will make the steps super easier. Third: The actuation of the cables and moving the various parts of the machine is super smooth and the noise level is super quiet. When lifting and using the machine the resistance is very nice and flows evenly. It is important to mention that the space saving and foot print is awesome. As you can see from the video my area is small, yet I have room to move around. Finally I have no complaints. There is nothing bad to say about this workout center. All pro's. If I had one thing to advise you on it would be that if your super tall then you might want to consider a larger machine. I am 6' tall and I have no problems with the leg press or using the seats and leg extension unit. All the pieces fit together and work together quite nice and there is no binding or banging around. I would absolutely purchase this again and would recommend this to anyone wanting an upgrade for working out at home. Especially for the money. Once again, thank you Amazon for selling an excellent item. Thanks.

Time well spent
I received all 4 boxes at the same time. They are about 80 lbs each. There are a lot of parts to set up. This took me 8 hours to unbox and set completely up, however I did a meticulous parts check which took about an hour or so to make sure everything was here and it was. The paper directions were great and detailed all the way until you arrive at the pulley assembly part, then that is when I watched their instruction video which was even easier than the paper instructions. After I was all done the top pulley worked great, the flys were great but the rowing part was hindered. I gave about twenty pulls or so and it appears the cable started wearing so I knew something was off. I am a very meticulous person when it comes to assembly which is why it took me so long. However I FOUND THE PROBLEM. The long cable on the bottom when it is first being inserted thru the hole that is "U" shaped has a tiny metal bar in it. I had routed the cable under that bar by mistake, it needs to go above that bar. After I fixed that there were no more wearing issues and everything fit together as it should. Nice solid machine. I have on carpet upstairs and it does not move. I am very impressed with this home gym. I set this up by myself with no help and an ample amount of space to lay out the parts. I am under 6' and in my early fifties and it fits me just right. I don't plan on becoming Hercules just keeping myself fit and in shape. Yes, it takes time to set up but is time well spent. Additional note: When I ordered this the seller sent me a message to let me know that there will be 4 boxes coming all together, but they can only use 1 tracking number so some boxes may come a few days later, I got lucky because they all arrived at once. I thought that was very nice to give me a heads up.

Medium range. Don't mix up the weights in step 3.
I like it. It took me about 5-6 hours to assemble. I'm mechanically inclined. The video assembly instructions are simple to follow and detailed with 3D diagrams. The parts in the box are not numbered so you need basic cognitive skills to match parts to pictures. Follow the hardware in order of the steps. Cardboard #1 comes with the hardware for all the first steps, cardboard #2 for the next set. etc. I put one weight on upside down because I wasn't paying attention and had to disassemble some things at the very end to flip it over. That was no fun. So definitely pay attention at every step. Make sure the cables are routed properly. It seems like you skip over a step or two, but that is for a reason... they come up later in the assembly. My only complaints are that the range of motion is a bit low. I'm 5'10" and can't get that last bit of push in a few of the exercises, like the butterfly, even with the back seat all the way forward, I wish the bars went back a little further. A couple other motion range issues. I think if you're over 6' or have long arms this might not be for you. Second complaint is the cable/roller system is a tiny bit noisy. I will probably add some light lithium cable grease where they contact the rollers (of which there are many). Other than that I like this machine. It's versatile and you can make up your own exercises on it. My wife is getting the hang of it too, but she wishes there was a good leg squeeze exercise for the inner thighs. I guess you can't have everything for this price. For the $600 I'm happy. Well engineered, well thought out, and relatively easy to assemble if you have kinesthetic intelligence.

ASSEMBLY ERRATA and review
UPDATE: A WARNING ABOUT A PART The ankle strap velcro isn't very good quality. I'm taking off the old fuzzy part and replacing with the real stuff (Velcro brand). I've been using this since July, and the pokey part of the velcro has not only damaged the band itself, where it's been in contact, it's damaged the fuzzy part of the velcro itself. I'm doing 20 pounds or less with this thing so it's not excessive weight, and I'm not doing that many reps, either. I found a few spots where a bit of clarification might ease confusion: Part #22, the guide rods, are the same at both ends so it doesnโt matter which end goes up. Part #81 is a black rubber bushing; there are a lot on the fourth cardboard of parts. You start needing them before you get to that cardboard, in case you wonder where they are before you get there. Part #*82 is a big black buggy bumper sized thing that goes at the bottom of the weight stack; each is about 2โ in diameter. Pictures donโt portray them accurately size-wise. Part #86 is a carabiner. Itโs called a gourd hook, a clip hook, and a spring hook in the assembly manual and on p. 22, in the same sentence, called two different things. Itโs a carabiner. Part #101 maintains tension on the cables when no weight has been selected. Tip: if youโre using the machine with low weight, and you find that the selection rodโs come out of the stack when you are lowering the weight, just lift a little bit and it should go back in. Part #103, foam roll tube, is metal and used for the leg exercise foam rolls to fit on (there are two of them). Tip: Slide the foam rolls on with a twisting motion, and back up the roll a tiny bit to seat it against the end cap after you've put on the cap. Part #106, strap, is in the box just to mess with you. It doesnโt get used (I searched the .pdf version of the manual; no stated purpose). Part #4, handles for the press/butterfly, may need one end trimmed to accommodate the carabiner assemblies you use to attach the single straps (#87). These are attached in step 14. I used scissors to trim the handle foam flush with the ends. When you place the base frame with the attached rear stabilizer and guide rods, make sure you leave enough room to be able to place the preacher curl cushion assembly on one of the storage posts on the stabilizer. I placed the support, then put the cushion against it and moved the frame out until it fit. If you canโt put it that far from the wall, be aware that using the storage post may be impossible. Step 2: do NOT forget plate (#24) on the bottom of the vertical frame piece. Trust me on this. Wait on step 4, #3 until after you place the pulley that sits at the top of the weight stack guide rods. Otherwise, part 91 will block your view and get in your way and youโll have to undo it. You can leave step 6, #s 2 and 3 (putting in the seat and back supports) until you attach the supports to the pads later. Tip: you can get another inch of room with the back support placed directly against the upright. To keep it from rattling around, I used a plastic wedge (you can get them in packages of 12 or so at hardware stores) and snapped off the excess and used a file on the rough edge. No wobble in the back. REVIEW: There are things that could be improved in the manual (like the aforementioned โcarabiner of many namesโ issue). My biggest gripe is that step 11, which is the installation of the longest cable, doesnโt have a clear enough view of the cable path for the 6th and 7th pulleys (F and G) and that the directions refer to the pulleys not by letter, as in the path diagram, but by number. This is an editing issue much like the carabiner part. A good way to eliminate that would be to have an editor assemble the thing using the manual. ; ) Aside from that, assembly was easy, and I think it could have been done by one person (my housemate and I assembled, so it was faster, especially the second time after my reassembly after removing and replacing the weight stack). I have no sense of the machine as poorly constructed; it seems very solid and the welds all look good, and the few cosmetic blips were minor. Itโs in my garage, not my living room, so I donโt really care about a few small paint scrapes. Iโd recommend it.

Great value multi gym
Bought this multi gym two or three weeks ago and have been using it almost every day since. Pros: I get a workout for almost every muscle in my body. I supplement with an inner and outer thigh workout and ab workout elsewhere. But this speaks to the type of gym, not this specific gym.You can do so many different moves, at least 25, more than the poster shows. It came with a very nice selection of attachments. With a lot of silicone lubricant it is relatively smooth, not perfect, but Iโm very pleased with it. for reference, I am a 5 foot two woman, I would call myself a beginner weightlifter. The machine fits me fine and the ways are enough for me at this stage. I can get a nice deep leg press. Sometimes I put a couple of Chare pads behind me to push myself even closer to the foot piece. Cons: the assembly directions were not the greatest. But the video on YouTube for assembly were very good. it took 6 to 7 hours to put together by myself. I wouldnโt say it was difficult just time-consuming. The paper directions neglected to tell you until the fourth package of hardware, that you needed hardware in the fourth package for steps that were on the first or second package of hardware so I had to remove some pieces to get those in. Read all of the print on all four packages of hardware before you start assembly. it didnโt come with lubricant, I had to buy that separate. And it definitely needs it. You will see that immediately. But once you use silicone, itโs perfect. The standing leg curl isnโt great as is however, I put a Yoga block between my knee and the machine and now itโs really perfect! Definitely recommend, it was worth the $511 on flash sale!

Great gym for garage/basement
Perfect gym for the garage/basement. This offers a ton of different exercise options without taking up a lot of space. I like how you can easily switch everything out to change your workout and touch all muscles. Comes with an exercise chart as well so you can see what to change and what equipment to attach where. As far as the installation goes, it did take a decent amount of time but it was not difficult. The directions were pretty easy to follow but you have to pay attention to details. I also brought up the install video on youtube to compare if I had any questions. Finally, the customer service has been top notch. I had an issue with a piece and they sent a new one right away. Very easy to work with. I would recommend this gym.

Great machine for the price
I bought this machine back in January of 2024, decided to wait a while before doing a review to make a rational decision based on performance. To start, I am 5'9" 187 lbs and the only semi problem I have is using the leg press. My knees have to go to my chest just about to be able to get into position. I could easily see someone that's 6' and taller having problems with the leg press in particular. Aside from the leg press, it seems as though the actual weight is heavier than the true weight. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the pulley system just not being as well made. For reference, I rep tricep pushdowns at 70 lb and it feels tough, however at a physical therapy office, I can do 120 on their machine and it feels very different and much smoother. It could be worse, could feel lighter than what it says. I've used this machine daily for the last 8 months and the only flaw I've had was the cable connecting to the top of the weights had come undone and unthreaded itself. I thought it snapped but it was easy to reinstall. Lastly, I've noticed if you're using a lower weight, say about 20 lbs, and you pull too high, the weights tend to get stuck at an angle and require you to pull a bit more and break them free. I've never had this problem over 20 lbs though. Not too much of a concern for me but I could see it being annoying for people using lesser weight more frequently. No other issues have come about, this machine is sturdy and resilient. Using it daily, I never have any problems. It's my go-to for chest and arm days and the quad raises are fantastic on it with adjustable heights on the seat and the back rest. If you're gonna build this alone, definitely give yourself a few hours to do so and I can't stress it enough, watch the YouTube video for a step by step painless process. It has the green components in the video, that's how you know it's the right one. About 6 and a half minutes long give or take. I finished building this in about 3 hours in total and it wasn't nearly as painful as I thought it was going to be. All in all, would definitely recommend this product!

hmmm.
Straight to the point. Fast shipping and fairly priced. It's easy to assemble even with one person. Solid build. However...This machine is meant for wee little people. Wee meaning anything below 5'5. I'm 5'9 and this machine is too small for me with most exercises. Legs, back, and chest will be where you would need more time to figure out how you want to tackle your workouts. What I don't understand is why manufacturers won't include enough room to accommodate most heights and builds. At least all the way up to 6'3. I get that it's not a 1000$-5000$ machine, but they should advertise this for little people to avoid any upsets. My major gripe is this. I can... work out while using this. But with a cost. The cost could be bad form and the risk of getting injured. It should make sense when you use it. However, there is a way to work around some things, but for back pull downs are possibly the worst exercise on this machine. As well, chest flies. No stretch whatsoever. Overall, it's a great build. But it won't be for most people, so buy at your own risk. Final thoughts: I'm somewhat happy with this machine, but at the same time frustrated with it.

Opening the boxes, check parts, review manual and assembly video
Have not fixed it yet, but the remarkable delivery of 4 heavy packages deserves kudos. Parts were all there, and really appreciate the specially packed small parts on cardboard meticulously labelled which will really help assembly. Online manual and assembling video will help familiarise one to the parts, and the assembly process. Third party tailored-to-this-model waterproof cover, and floor mat, are something extra you need to spend on too. will repost once assembled. 2026-05-23: assembled and preliminary try. Easy enough to assemble with instructions, visual charts, tools provided. The weights guard is not solid material, but polystyrene type netting. Need some way to hold (and label) all the parts you gather from the cardboard packages. Feels a little lightweight, and leg attachments feel a little loose, maybe i should try tightening it somehow. Tried leg push...... actual weights seems attenuated greatly by the pulley system ...... so 50 kg may not feel like 50 kg. As i am using it for recuperating from knee surgery, and sarcopenia, the limited weights (tension feel) are passable. But if you are advance weight exercise guy.... I think may not be "useful". Saves on travel time and gym subs, gym competition for machine access. And anytime access feels good.
