Helped me to reduce uric acid level
Am v pleased I bought this device. I have used it to reduce my uric acid level from 13+ to 8 (still too high, but going down!). I measure my level every day about 30 mins after I have eaten my evening meal. (Couple of tips: level seems to be higher when the amount of blood is smaller so ensure you have a 'blob' that is about 2-3mm wide and puncture the skin on the side of the finger in case regular use leads to desensitisation in the nerves). My uric acid levels weren't really going down much and I had been following usual advice (including cherry juice and apple cider vinegar). So I looked more and found guidance saying only eat meat/fish once a day and try to have 2 meat/fish free days a week. I now have 3-4 fish/meat free days a week combined with cherry juice and apple cider vinegar consumption and it has led to a reduction. Not been tested by GP since purchase so can't verify accuracy compared to NHS test but no reason to doubt it. If I'd not been using this I would have not had any idea what diet worked for me. Very happy with it (and look forward to my daily test a little bit to see if gone down!!!)

Uric Acid test gives unreliable results
At the age of 48 I have developed gout and bought this to monitor my blood Uric Acid levels. It is a simple, efficient, easy to use device that takes just 20 seconds to measure the Uric Acid (or glucose, cholesterol) concentration from a small blood sample. However, after using it for a few weeks I became concerned by the significant variation in the readings that it was providing on different days. So today (20/09/2017) at 7:30am I conducted a test in which I took 6 blood Uric Acid measurements one after the other from the blood produced by the same pin prick in my finger over the course of a 5 minute period. The Uric Acid concentration in my blood over that 5 minute period should be constant, so the only variation in results must be due to inaccuracies in measurement caused by the machine. The results were:6.1Lo (<3)11.7Lo (<3)4.55.4All figures are in mg/L. As you can see the variation in results is large and enough to undermine confidence in any single reading. The normal range for a healthy male adult should be roughly between 3 - 7 mg/L. According to which reading you take I either have a very good (2 readings), bad (1 reading), or normal (3 readings) blood Uric Acid level. Hence, I think that this machine should be used with caution, or not at all.

I bought this for checking cholesterol, uric acid, ...
I bought this for checking cholesterol, uric acid, and blood glucose. We use this only for indicator purpose and still refer to clinic for accurate measurement. Therefore, this is still on our expectation. I have compared blood glucose with other test kit and result is not that far. So, I still have no issue with this.

A very difficult unit to use, and variable test results
This is a very difficult unit to use, the test strips do not seem to absorb the blood sample easily, after several strips I got a BG reading but upon taking a second one 2 minutes later it was completely different by a factor of 87. Similar issue with Cholesterol I used 2 strips to get a single reading because the first did not work at all. I would not recommend this device, maybe its only for professionals but I would not take the readings as accurate, this should in my opinion be taken off the market because it is a medical instrument that does not work with certainty. Variable results is reported by many useres on the Amazon review pages and I therefore beleive that this is the equipment and not the users. Please, take this off the market until you get it working reliably and with some certainty.

Waste of money- severely inaccurate
Avoid and don't waste your money. Do.a search for reports showing inaccuracyWaste of time. I've now cross referenced results against three lab blood tests, each taken within 0.5 hour of the Easysure test, all show vast and not even consistent accuracy.Test 1 Easysure reports 661μmol/L. Lab reported 499 μmol/LTest 2 Easysure reports 680μmol/L. Lab reported 419 μmol/LTest. 3.Easysure reports 781μmol/L. Lab reported 460μmol/LI've since found a number of reports which also indicate the Easytouch device by same manufacturer was rejected both for lack of precision and accuracy. You can find them by searching for "Benecheck Easytouch" ( this gives reports/ comparison of a number of meters)Having wasted money, now away to look at the Benecheck (recommended and NHS approved) although unsure if it's now been replaced by the "Nesco Multicheck"

Not sure
Having used it for sometime and having done tests via the doctor I am not sure about its accuracy. The glucose seems to be in the right range but the cholesterol is not, so following comparative testing I would not advice anyone to buy this at the moment.
