MegaGear Ever Ready Genuine Leather Camera Half Case compatible with Sony Alpha A7 III, A7R III, A9

This is genuinely a nice product! The half case adds on a few mm onto the bottom of the Sony A7III body, which makes it feel a little bit bigger, making the camera slightly easier to hold if you have big hands. It is also genuine leather which is a nice touch, and compliments the orange lens ring on the A7III body in my opinion. It also comes with a full-size vintage style strap which I think looks great.All the buttons and doors on the A7III are still accessible with the case fitted, also you can screw a tripod into the bottom of the case, so you don't have to remove the case for that either!As you can guess from the review title, the only snag really was the shipping. To be fair, as soon as I mentioned to MegaGear that it was taking forever, they did refund the postage. But it did take 2 weeks to arrive. They said the delay was caused because they were moving their warehouse to a different location/country. So that may have been sorted out now??? Either way it is a nice unique vintage style product which I love, and more than happy with!

Really pleased with this, gives good protection to the camera and looks good.Access to the battery compartment is tight but works even with a manfrotto tripod plateI have not used this for video so it is possible that long movie 7se could overheat the camera but no indication of this when shooting extensive stillsI would buy this for other cameras if I upgraded

This was a popular item, I had to order it twice before I got one. Amazon cancelled an order on my saying they could not source it despite it being in stock, then Amazon appeared to deliberately delay my order due to being a non-prime member. It looks great, build quality is good for the price. Fits OK. The bottom part near the battery compartment has metal which is nice, the finishing on the inner edges where the metal was routed/cut it a little rough and not smoothed but does not interfere with anything. The area near the bottom of the grip where the lens release button is does not fit flush with the camera body due to the design of the case, again a niggly little thing but not an issue. at 1/8th the price of the crazy priced designer leather halfcases this is a bargain. Makes the camera look good and more importantly offers a bit of protection for the bottom plate of the A7III/A7RIII/A9 series of cameras which is a weak point in my opinion. Happy customer!

It fits but you can tell that it wasn’t made for this model. There are gaps around and it’s obvious that it’s a one-fits-all type of case which means one-fits-none.

No good I'm afraid. It's well made but is a terrible fit. The case does not fit snugly around the hand grip. As soon as you put a chunky lens on the camera ( and a lot of the lenses for these Sony cameras are chunky), you will almost have your fingers wedged between the case and the lens. Wanted it to work but have returned it.

Nice little extra protection for the camera. It’s not super tight in that it only uses the one screw to go on so it moves a little on either side and I had to keep shifting it to get into the battery. Not sure if it’ll be a permanent thing on the camera but looks nice!Strap is nice though, no complaints.

It looked good and fit the camera well, but I didn't want to keep it on my camera all the time as it made the baseplate for the tripod not snug enough to sit flush, so I wanted to remove the cover by Mega Gear to use my tripod but once I had the cover on, it would not come off. I used eight different tools on it and I could not remove it. I tried four allen keys and two screwdrivers and in the end, I had to take it to a specialist shop to undo the screw at the bottom. I wouldn't really recommend.

Does not fit nicely around the Somy A7iii camera body. Very disappointed.
