It cleans well and yes it is plastic, which is not ideal but its longevity outweighs using so many replacement sponges that eventually degrade and fall apart. Every so often I throw it in the washing machine with all the dishcloths I tend to add Detol dissenfectant for a deep clean. You will never need to see a raggedy sponge in your kitchen again. The Lakeland version is sturdier, but this one is cheaper and lasts just as long and this item hardly needs replacing (unless you wash up like a maniac and cut it up with a knife). I would like to know this product is BPA free when I get round to buying a replacement which will not be for some time as I am still on my first one of three.

I had been looking for something different for dishwashing that could itself be washed. This is it and I am pleased with it . It cleans my dishes very well and can easily be washed so as not to harbour germs .

Great for removing burnt-on food without scratching your lovely non-stick pans

Was looking for a cheaper alternative to Selley's Wash Up Wiz Scourer sold by Lakeland, and found these. Certainly not as abrasive as Selleys which isn't great since Selleys are pretty good on burnt on food but still gentle for non stick pans. If you've ever used Selleys, then these when new feel like a worn out Selleys scourer. I still prefer these to metal scourers though. Pretty much identical to SMARTCLEAN - Heavy Duty Dish - NET Dishcloth ,No sponges , Odor FREE , Mildew FREE / Easy Clean & Rinse , Quick Dry, Recyclable, 5-Pieces/Pack,11x11'' (PINK) . You get 5 in that pack as opposed to the three in this, and in this product the ends are hemmed off. I don't know if this will cause the other product to fray more easily but something to consider.

These are pretty good and are good value for money. They aren't as good as the other brand we all know, but price wise these have it.

Don’t buy. Terrible quality. 2 of the edges are raw while the other 2 are bounded - looks like they were cut from a bigger piece and re-sold. The threads are already fraying straight out of the pack. Also the one I got came in an unbranded generic plastic bag and is nothing like the picture. The weave is loose to cut down on material cost and means it will break down a lot quicker. Completely misleading. Avoid at all cost!
