What a wonderful fabric repair tape that REALLY DOES WORK!
Having a gorgeous doberman puppy, I thought it was time I booted myself out with all the latest walking gear - like you see walkers wearing on television programmes and adverts. So I went ahead and sorted myself out with expensive clothing and boots. Then a problem occurred. While in a hurry to unzip my pocket to get the doggy poo bags out, the inside of the pocket became caught in the zip. Needless to say, lots of pulling ensued followed by the need for scissors. I was devastated and left with a chunk of the material of my coat missing from inside the pocket. I searched on Amazon and found this little beauty. Let me tell you it WORKS! It's not very often you buy things these days that actually work as described. I cut a small piece off (the tape comes in a protective red sleeve) and rounded off the corners as the instructions instruct you to do. I placed it over the hole and rubbed. A few have gone by now and the seal of this tape is still holding strong! The rest of the tape is safely stored away for if I ever need it again. Highly recommended!

Easy to use and apply - if you have a pair of scissors (Gore-tex and fabric?)
Easy to use and apply but you will need a pair of scissors!. You are required to 'round of the edges' and remove any frayed material. Only four stars at present as have not washed the item. Used to prepare a small rip (approx 2cm long) in the pocket seam. Using in the field may be problematic as you require a dry fabric and hard surface to insure a secure adhesion. You are required to place pressure on the tape and work out from the middle to insure no air bubbles. Generally easy to use and ideal for placing over stiches to make hem /pocket repairs watertight. After a few washes I will update review although the packaging does indicate 'Temporary repair' and use a good quality sealent adhesive for a more permanent repair. I only tend to wash my Gore-tex outer clothing infrequently - do not want to loose water repellencey properties so this repair should hold for a while. UPDATE: fabric repair - Decided to use patch to repair a small rip (approx. 10mm) in my polyester/cotton mix rip-stop army trousers recently (Dec 2014). Initially good adhesion properties, still stayed on after one wash but the edges have started to come lose now - but still serviceable. Probably will need to stich the edges if wish for a more permanent repair.

tent repair made easy!
A few years back, I invested in a family size, multi-room tent. The very next year, while it was set up in the back garden for the kids to "camp" in, some vandals came into the back garden & slashed it. I thought that the tent was ruined for good, and would be useless (even although it could set up, it wouldn't be waterproof or wind resistant.) Then, I came upon this Tenacious Tape & what a god-send! I was easily able to repair the slashes to the tent with this tape. I re-waterproofed just in case. We've camped many times since and there's never been an issue. I just returned from a camping trip in the Scottish Highlands and the wind and the rain were intense on one of the nights. I have to say it, I didn't even question whether the tent would hold up at the slashed sections. I had actually completely forgotten that there ever were any slashes. It was only when my husband brought out the leftover tape as an option to repair my dog's mesh screen that I remembered the repairs. To me, that indicates an excellent product and excellent results: the repairs are so good, I've forgotten about them.

Strong, sticky, easy to use
A recent camping trip in storm conditions left us with an F shaped rip in our Vango tent. Apart from already compromising the structure the way it ripped meant it was only going to get worse and tear further. Product was delivered promptly. Instructions are simple but cover what you need. Tape is easy to peel off the backing, backing has a graph paper grid for easy sizing and cutting. Lined up the ripped pieces and applied tape, flipped it over and did the other side for good measure. Really good adhesion, easy to rub out air bubbles and on the inner its barely visible, slightly more visible on the darker outside colour but still fine. You can see its been repaired but its not obvious. Very strong bonding across the whole area, the damaged areas are now stronger than the surrounding material. Its also flexible so on tent fabric it still moves and folds without being too stiff. Ideal Very good product, only thing to be aware of, its not even a criticism as the size is in the description. You don't get much in a pack - our rip was in an F shape 15cm on the long end by 12cm. One pack was enough to comfortably cover this on both sides of the canvas, but that was it. All used now. If you need to cover a larger area you may need multiple packs Very pleased with the result and will buy again if we have any more damage to the tent

Sticks well
I had a rip in a field jacket (if that makes sense - it was a Ridgeline Torrent Euro III to be precise). Used this to patch it up, but wasn't convinced that it was going to stick to the coat for that long. It began lifting at the edge a bit after a day or two. And TBH, the look wasn't great having a clear patch on a dark green coat, as it was a bit shiny. I guess that's the fact that it is waterproof, but it was far from being nearly invisible. However, I used a smaller amount to cover the rip, and then used my favourite spinnaker repair tape to go over the top. It blends in so much better and I think the two of them hand in hand will do the job just perfectly. I have used the spinnaker repair tape on many things and it sticks really well. TBH, if it wasn't for wanting to have waterproof tape, I would have stuck with the spinnaker tape (which I am not sure if it would stop water or not). My advice to anyone wanting to repair rips, is to get a roll of it.

Useful to have about for a variety of jobs / Expensive - but cost might be relative if you save on replacing an item
I've had a roll of this for some time and just bought two more - I've found it useful for cutting into small pieces and protecting a cycle frame where I have mounted clip on winter mud guards - Translucent colour means it's pretty invisible. I've also used it to repair a cracked plastic iPad case from the inside and one or two other similar jobs. I've found it pretty useful - sticky, hard wearing - but gave it 4 stars as it's expensive for the amount you get on a roll.. but if it saves the day when camping or repairs an expensive item the cost is all relative I guess.

Tenacious it is!
Got 2 small rips in a down jacket from some brambles and the feathers were coming out. Got quoted £30 by Berghaus recommended repairers for repairing each rip. The jacket was a 2 week old really nice Berghaus Mavora I paid just over £100 for. I've never ripped a jacket before from Musto so I complained to Berghaus because the fabric isn't ripstop but they say it should be layered-which is rubbish. Used 2 strips of Mcnett tape and 3 months later they're still stuck on the jacket. They look like sellotape on a navy jacket but they do the job of stopping the feathers coming out. Havent washed it yet but if the strips come off there's plenty in the roll for more repairs. Make sure you round the ends with a pair of sharp scissors so the corners don't catch. old-timer.org

Produit conforme

Resiste a lavaggi e uso quotidiano.

Buen producto, buen vendedor.
