A YI original and the quality shows.
I wanted a waterproof YI case as a present for my daughter on her birthday. I bought one off Amazon that seemed to indicate that was it was an original and even some of its photos were of an original YI case. So I was very disappointed when it arrived in a plastic bag with no markings. labels or paperwork of any kind and was clearly a (not so) cheap after market clone. Fortunately I could use the no hassle Amazon return facility. Then I found this one listed which really did appear to be an original. When it arrived it was in a cellphane wrapped YI box, very nicely presented and the quality appears very good. Clearly original YI. Note that original YI cases have a three pointed grip on the end of the fixing bolt unlike clones which probably all copy the standard GoPro four pointed bolt grip. A useful way to identify a YI original. I can't say how it performs because it was a present, but I'm pretty certain that you won't find a better quality waterproof case to protect your YI.

Great case. There may be others available on certain sites for alot less, but have questionable build quality. Many suffer from vignetting as the lense window is too small. I know the yi action camera is only a budget camera, but it doesn't make sense to put it a non genuine case and risk water damage for the sake of saving a few quid.

... the case for two months now and I am satisfied with it
I gave the case for two months now and I am satisfied with it. I have tested it in the pool at 3 meters , in fresh waters at 20 meters and in the ocean at 1 meter. It did the job very good and I have not seen any rust so far near the metal parts.I will update the review if anything bad will happen.

A bit heavy but does a good job.
Keeps the YI dry, does a great job. The only flaw is the weight of the case. When you combine it with your YI it triples the weight, it really is quite surprising and what it has done is break one of the brackets I installed on my bike. It is possible that the bracket was not of the highest quality itself but it should not distract at how truly heavy the case really is.

Very happy overall
Used it in scuba diving (20 m) and rafting and got no water inside at all. No fog wen using under water.

The catch keeps breaking
I've had two of these on both the white catch splits the plastic is not thick enough.
