Love it so much I need more
Love Lady Gaga! I also love the story behind such a well known brand and the fashion in the movie! I didn’t like how the ending wrapped up so quick in comparison to watching the get together.

Interesting drama, but so sad
To be honest, I dislike a lot of the modern Gucci designs. Historically, Gucci made its mark as a family business and being unique. The modern taste of Gucci at least in their handbags and accessories is so...uniform and what they try to do with their designs and monograms, other brands like Coach do better. I knew Gucci grew into a public brand and so it suffered in uniqueness and quality, but it also brought it into a more affordable realm (at least on sale) for the average middle class person like most of us to possibly own just one of their items. But it was interesting to see how the loss of the Gucci family business turned it into what it is today, for better or for worse. It was so incredibly sad to see a business destroy a family over greed. Sadness aside, I love Adam Driver and Lady Gaga, and I think that they did an excellent job playing off each other. I read that the family actually believes this film is an inaccurate representation of the family. Also I read that Aldo warned Patrizia before he died that the money and business Maurizio would inherit would change him and that he would cease to be the man she loved. But then again, whether appropriately depicted or not, Patrizia seemed to have her own agenda because she loved her attachment to the name and brand her marriage afforded her.

Per the wife, it's a good watch. I'll take her word for it!

Loved It!
Such a good movie! It reminds me of Waiting to Exhale how Angela Bassett's character Bernadine was married and she helped her husband build his business but he ended up leaving her for a white woman. That experience set her on a journey of purging to get through her pain. Well judging by how this woman Patrizia helped her idiotic husband step into a powerful position within his family's business only to wind up betrayed by him really takes the cake. He resented her for breaking up his family, but he cheated with another woman with no conscience or remorse. She knew her husband had the potential to be bigger than he was. Now I feel like when he said he was happy cleaning trucks she should have just kept the simple happy married life. But we as women always desire to help our partners reach their highest potential. But be careful what you wish for because he became a cold heartless AH towards her. This story also reminds me of the true story of Betty Broderick. This form of revenge is justified because men should not be allowed to leave their wives for their mistresses and get away with the emotional pain and torment they cause. I actually felt sorry for Patrizia, but ultimately she got the last laugh. They kept reminding her that she wasn't a real Gucci and she was like if I can't be apart of of this, neither can you! If you think about it from the psychic Pina's point of view Patrizia was supposed to be apart of the dynasty. They denied her the life she desired to live with her husband and so it was like if she couldn't be apart of this dynasty neither can they. She got the last laugh because none of them ended up with the company. That's how you know they got in the way of her destiny. But now the joke is also on all of them because the company is a huge success without any of them. She wasn't a gold-digger, there's nothing wrong with wanting a successful husband and financial security. You could tell she really loved him. Lady Gaga gave an outstanding performance. I will admit the accents in this movie weren't perfect, in fact they were pretty funny. I did love Jared as Paolo, so funny! So funny she told them to get the mistress out of her house! That was a happy ending for me! lol

The actors could have just spoken in their own accents
It was surprising to see how bad the Italian accents in this movie were. Was there a no Italian dialect coach available to help them sound more legitimate? What's the point of making actors fake an accent or impersonate someone from a different country if they can't master it especially when the movie was in English. The accents were so bad and inconsistent that it made the movie come across more like a caricature or a mockery. At times the actors would switch From an accent that did not sound Italian at all to a French accent, Russian, Romanian or Hebrew, nothing close to Italian. The only one who nailed the Italian accent was Al Pacino, he is the one who kept it going and who saved it. Other than the bad Italian accents, the movie was ok.

Really good film
The House of Gucci is a very good film it’s not particularly fast paced that some might find a bit tedious but the acting from Adam Driver & Lady Gaga is excellent as is the rest of the all star cast from the likes of Jeremy Irons, Al Pacino & Jared Leto the only thing that lets it down for me is Paolo Gucci’s dubious Italian accent that plays into the hands of the typical Italian stereotype but apart from that The House of Gucci is a really good film.

AN ABSORBING WATCH
A strange absorbing tale of the Gucci dynasty based on real events starring Lady Gaga as Patrizia Reggian and Adam Driver as Maurizio Gucci supported byscreen-legends Al Pacino as Aldo Gucci and Jeremy Irons as Rodolfo Gucci..Telling the story of how young Maurizio falls for Patrizia considered by Maurizio'sfather below his sons standing. But, the two lovers marry anyway despite Maurizio apparently being disinheritedfrom his father 50% share in the Gucci empire the other half controlled by Aldoand Paolo Gucci (Jared Leto)Before Rodolfo's death he reconciles with his son Maurizio, meaning inheritanceis restored.Patrizia try's to muscle-in on the decisions made within the empire, which triggersa power struggle. The story becomes of control, greed and deception which will tear he Gucci's apart.Well worth a viewing though in my view a little too long, however, better than somesuggest.........judge for yourselves.+

Enjoyed it but still felt lacking something
Really enjoyed film. Lady GAGA is an excellent actress. I bought the film after watching the iconic one line film grabing headline, " ours sweetie!" But felt film could have had more lines and humour. Its ultimately about a woman that in my eyes gets her hands into a man and his business but its ot without love unfortunately that love is a bit materialistic and self serving as result husband outgrown her and changes and ultimately she's the one that becomes of no purpose.Obviously can't spoil end as based on true story but fascinating.

ok
I bought this dvd without having seen it so it was a risk. the movie was not bad. Lady Gaga and adam driver were very good. Sadly in one scene with lady Gaga she says : in the name of the father, the Son and the House of Gucci". And that sadly means that I can't keep this film, since to me it means that she is mocking The Holy Spirit and that I can't stand. The movie in whole is not bad. I just wished that she hadn't said that.

House Of Gucci - Outstanding Cast, But An Example Of The Wrong Director
I mostly enjoyed this film with an ensemble of the right cast members in the right roles. However, at times it was not clear what certain cast members were saying (Lady Gaga and Adam Driver) and a lot of content from the true story was left out that would have explained a lot of issues. Lady Gaga and Adam Driver seemed to be acting in a one track vein..... The film at times felt very disjointed and I questioned whether Ridley Scott was the right director..... He is known for doing very well historical epics or the Alien series - this is a more thought provoking real life memoir about a fashion brand dynasty...... I think it would have been more the skillset of someone else.
