Set of 8 AudioSerenity Satin Black Hi-Fi Spike Shoes

I used these under my Rockport Ankaa speakers with great effect. The discs are small and discreet and are fitted with a thin rubber bottom to help provide stability and further isolation. A great product.

I bought these to prevent marital discord after purchasing a pair of Rega RS7s to go with a Cyrus 8SE/8Xpd set-up. Whilst I conceded that they were 'too big' and could 'crush our child' if they toppled over, I managed to convince her that I had lost the receipt and could not return them. As a way to smooth things over, I purchased these spike shoes to protect our pine flooring. They have a synthetic (rubber?) base which 'sticks' them to the floor. It was a bit of a hassle to put the spikes into the recesses but once done, they provided a secure platform for the speakers. Sound quality in a real-world setting was not noticeably impaired. The only fly in the ointment is that your spikes might scratch the black paint off the shoes but a least it confirmed that they were made of metal, not plastic!

I ordered a pair of these mistakenly assuming that they would be made of metal rather than plastic - my fault, not the seller's. I had looked a the various other metal variants (same seller, same manufacturer, same money), but thought that black would look better than the 2p coins with blue tack that I had been using up 'till then. Why does this matter? Well, when you're trying to position these under the spikes of very heavy speakers, if the receptacle holes were smooth concave metal, the spikes would then slip easily down to the bottom of the pits. As it was, the spikes in this case kept digging into the plastic of the pads and had to be repositioned many times by my very vulnerable fingers before being centered. The pads did, however, remain harpooned when it came to tilting the speakers to position the next disc: a silver lining of sorts, I suppose.

These are first class. Well finished and beautifully packaged. They are ideal for my purpose which is to isolate and protect the Audi Serenity stone plinths that the speaker spikes sit on. The pads on the base of the shoes ensure the shoes do not slide or move about, making for a very stable support for the speakers,All in all a great product and well worth the money.

Goods were well packed. Design and manufacture are of the highest quality. I've yet to install them, but they look exactly what I was looking for.

These are exactly as described, perfect little metal discs that will properly support spiked speakers on wooden or laminate flooring. They arrived perfectly packed and have had obvious care in manufacture. Elsewhere I read someone describing these as plastic - this is definitively NOT the case, these are a high quality machined metal audio accessory that I 100% endorse.

They do exactly what they say they'll do!

Somehow smaller than what I was expecting but they get the job done. They come in a very nice case and they are well machined and nicely finished. A bargain for the price.
