Zurecht die Nummer 1
WeWas soll man sagen?

Good mandolin! BUT do you really need one?
Yes it's a good mandolin.Unlike some it is easy to clean, adjustable etc all very good.In practice however sometimes I find myself saying less hassle to just cut with sharp knife instead. The knife is just seconds to clean and does good on most things.Yes the mandolin can slice super thin and do that very quickly rendering an onion or broccoli stem into thin pieces very quick. Also julienning veg in a snap.Absolutely necessary ? NO, nice to have ? YES.I don't use as much as I would have liked as sometimes it's just easier to get the sharp knife and prep with that as it's still easier and quicker for cleanup.

Excellent product
Sturdy slicer which I think will last for years - extremely sharp blades and easy to change blades when needed. It worked well for the purpose I wanted, which was to slice thin potatoes for dauphinoise. Also did 'matchsticks' for stir fry and the thin slices of onion was really nice too. I found the finger guard a little tricky to master, but this improved with practice and I might invest in a pair of safety gloves at a later date, though ok for now and will see how we go.
