The handle fits the fist with the solemn promise of hard labour. The bristles aren't so much wires as they are an organised mob of tempered steel anarchists, each one dedicated to removing what you don't want and leaving a faint, gratifying score mark of your victory behind.I applied it to a garden gate that had embraced rust with the enthusiasm of a convert. The brush did not persuade. It did not negotiate. It issued a series of short, sharp, and very loud decrees. In minutes, the rust was a memory and my arm felt pleasantly connected to the Victorian era. The block shape gets right into corners, like a determined terrier after a rat of corrosion.It’s brutally simple, utterly effective, and asks for nothing but elbow grease and the occasional mutter of defiance. Five stars. My garage now fears me, and my gate gleams with the quiet shame of the newly disciplined. A masterpiece of controlled violence.

I bought this brush to clean off weathering and stains from exterior unpainted oak gates.As other purchasers have already stated the metal bristles will bend and break off if you need to put a lot of pressure on the brush.For my job I found it wasn't necessary to apply a lot of pressure as the tines of steel are very sharp and were able to strip away the dirt and debris with only enough pressure to allow the brush to do the work by itself without forcing it.I had to make several passes over the surface to get everything completely clean so the job takes longer this way, but the finish is far smoother than if more force is used.There is no surprise the brush shows signs of wear, but it remained intact and is still good to use again and I am very satisfied with the quality of the finish it produced.

Tough, great for removing flaking paint from garage wall. Really good quality.

Really pleased with this brush. Easy to use, comfortable to hold and great to use outdoors on persistent moss.

Brush seemed well made and wires are strong, maybe a littel too stiff as they easily break when used to brush stone, e.g. to brush off cement from bricks or stone.

Easy to order, comes as described and does what it says on the tin. Good value for money I would recommend.

I have to admit, I’m not overly impressed with this.Any new tools I need I always go for roughneck and I’m never disappointed but I have a feeling this is going to be the first product from them that lets me down.I have a large wall (38m) that needs cleaned with brick acid, wire brushed and power washed to try and bring it back to life.I decided to go with this as it would be much better than using a wire brush as it does fit great in my hand and fairly confident it will be comfy holding it after a few hours scrubbing.My problem is the actual wires are very thin, these are going to wear away very quickly, see photo! As from other photos I don’t think this is going to stand up well. I suppose it’s the same as buying a decent wire brush with plenty of sturdy wires and buying a cheap wire brush that has a few flimsy strands on it.Now I won’t get to use this straight away, so will give it a 4 star rating just now but will update once used and how it holds up against the wall.To be continued.....
