which is harder work but better exercise, its fine
This elliptical trainer will rock from side-to-side slightly if you're the type of user who transfers ones weight from side-to-side to push the footplates down. If you 'suspend' your body-weight and push down with your muscles, which is harder work but better exercise, its fine. The pulse meter is really slow and takes about a minute to get to a steady state which means your hands are off the moving handholds for quite some time so not ideal. One tip is to place this equipment on rubber floor matting Interlocking Gym Garage Anti Fatigue Flooring Play Mats 32sqft D-Easimat Branded to reduce operation noise

Developed a horrible grinding/squeaking noise within a few months of purchase
Developed a horrible grinding/squeaking noise within a few months of purchase. A shame as otherwise its a fairly sturdy machine. So far customer service has only gone so far as suggesting I dismantle it myself and try to address the problem myself.update:Customer service did eventually come out and as far as i can tell just greased a few bits. the grinding came back, I found the source a cross-threaded nut, this resolved it for a while. But another knocking noise developed, further inspection myself has revealed the flywheel appears to be installed incorrectly. Obviously well out of warranty now at about 3yrs old, but will soon find itself consigned to the tip.

a good sturdy machine
Came very quickly a good size machine I'm 6'3 and it fits me perfect only downside is it squeaks and has done from day one and after spending 3and a half hours building it I'm a bit reluctant to take it all apart to find the source of the squeak

Well worth it
We purchased this item around Jan 17 I guess. When the case arrived it looked as if it had been damp for ages, when we opened it the Bodymax was damaged so we thought the worst re losing our money.However we sent a photo of the damage and we were quickly advised by James that a replacement was being sent and the damaged item collected. This was done quickly. Once the new item arrived I took notice of another reviewer who said check the monitor works prior to complete assembly. We did this and I confirm the Bodymax is easy to assemble and it works well. A few months in and although it hasn't had heavy usage we have to say this is a great piece of equipment for the money so buy it!

Just Brilliant.
I am really pleased with my purchase. Very well packaged, clear instructions, sturdy and extremely quiet in use. I put this together on my own and it took 80 minutes without rushing. I am pleased I took my time looking at reviews before purchase and I cannot fault this machine and I am sure it will get many years of use.
