Beosound Emerge Wi-Fi Multiroom Speaker - Gold Tone

I saw this advertised online and was so intrigued. I debated buying this but after doing my research, I am very happy with this purchase. It's a bit expensive for a speaker, but you will not be sorry. Not only is it beautiful to look at and is exquisitely made, it sounds like a dream. I bought it to use in my office at work rather than stream music through the computer speakers. My only complaint...the USB-C cable that came with it sucks. After carefully unpacking it from the box, I plugged it in and nothing. My heart sank thinking I was sold a defective unit. It then occurred to me to use another USB-C cable (I used the one from my MacBook Pro) and voila! It turned on. I ordered more USB-C cables from Apple to replenish my supply. That was the hardest part. Set up is very easy via the B&O app and it is very easy to use. I stream via AirPlay and Bluetooth using Apple Music and it sounds and works great. No issues. Highly recommend.

Was skeptical reading the reviews on Amazon but have always enjoyed B&O products so gave this a chance. Glad I did. It is beautiful, subtle in looks but the sound quality is great.

Incredibly pricey but it delivers very high quality sounds. I can’t imagine better sound coming from a single speaker this small. Plus it blends beautifully for those (like my girlfriend) who do not want electronics to dominate the vibes of their home. If you’ve got the money and these needs sound familiar this is a great product. Otherwise, you probably can get better sound for similar money with a 5.1 surround setup.

I’ve owned this speaker 8 months now. I’m a huge B&O fan. I also own a B&O A5 and B&O Level. The sound quality of the Emerge is amazing. I love it so much I just got another one to do a stereo pair. I could listen to this setup all day!! My review is based on using it over WiFi. I won’t buy a speaker at this cost just to use Bluetooth. I got it for the WiFi connection for HiFi music streaming. No regrests! ♥️🎶🎶🎶

I'll admit, the speaker definitely looks premium and connectivity is easy. The Bang & Olufsen app offers significant customization of treble and bass levels which I appreciate. However, once you get past the premium interface you realize that the audio quality is not the best. Clarity is good but the bass and soundstage are significantly lacking. My 5 year old Bose speaker had significantly more bass capability and filled a room more easily than this. This was disappointing when you consider the price. Would consider keeping this if it was closer to $500 but for this price it definitely went back.

ok 719 dollars in 2024, now 1,500 in 2025. amazon is out of their mind. this is a poor quality speaker. a square looking bose for 100 dollars sounds exactly the same as this unit here. I returned it. not impressed. the app is atrocious and difficult to connect, so I connected straight by bluetooth, the old way. sound is ok but this looks better in photos than in real life (speaking of the design). it wasn't a 700-dollar speaker, the sound wasn't all that, so I returned it. now they try to sell it for 1.5k lol no way

For a market price 899 USD speaker, I think it should have better material quality control for their product. I thought we are paying most of the price for it's beautiful look. Since this oak color is 200USD more than the black one (699USD). I am very disappointed for what I received. I will return it and buy another one for better luck. Everybody else sharing the photo in the review, they got better ones than mine. I have't try any function on the product, I am already decided to return it.

The upside: It is a work of art, the sound is amazing and for the price it is worth it. The downside : The instructions are not good and B&O website instructions also not good. It was very difficult to set up because I wanted to play music from my phone and if you download the B&O app it is set up to play radio or from Deezer and Spotify. I had to do a lot of searching to find out the best way to configure it for my preferred music. After I set it up to play using Bluetooth I wanted to use a line in 3.5mm jack plug and this was also very problematic because you have to disable wifi and Bluetooth and again, there are no instructions to help you solve the problems.

sounds great but a lot of technical issues with wifi, finally found a workaround. online says to get an expensive router to fix the issue as B&O does not like mesh networks but all i had to do was pair it with other GHM speakers in a group to solve all problems. Also do not connect it to a 5ghz network, the paired speakers use the 5ghz band and it would cause a lot of interference

Beautiful design, was easy to setup and works over WiFi & Bluetooth. Sounds incredible in a smallish room.
