Miraculous!
I’m almost afraid to write this review for fear of jinxing our success but at the same time I want to tell other parents that if you’re on the fence about trying this product, you must give it a go! Our son had never been dry in the night and was still in pull ups that were soaked every morning. Just before he turned 5, out of the blue he said he wanted to stop wearing them. I let him try without for a week and he was soaked through every night. He got very disheartened and was really fed up so I told him we’d go back to pull ups for a while and then try again. He reluctantly agreed and I really wanted to help him. I’d previously heard of bedwetting alarms but thought they were for much older children and were very expensive. So when I found this little gadget I thought it was worth a try. I explained to our son how it worked and he was really keen to try it. I was worried the alarm would scare him in the night so I said I would sleep in his room for the first few nights. We clipped the sensor onto the outside of the bottom of his pants then put a pair of pull ups over the top, and clipped the alarm part onto the top of his vest. He thought it was all very exciting and he was very motivated by the reward chart that comes with it too - he was desperate to get a gold star! We tested the alarm together by putting a drop of water on the sensor so we knew what to expect. Personally I think it’s just the right volume - loud enough to wake anyone in the room but I’m amazed by some comments saying it’s so loud it wakes the whole house?! Definitely not in our case. So here’s what happened for us... Night 1 The alarm went off twice in the night. Both times I jumped up and pulled the wire out to stop the noise then we stumbled together to the bathroom and I made him try and do a wee, although he said it had all come out already. I dried the sensor and clipped the wire back in, changed him into a new pair of pants and pull ups. Night 2 The alarm only went off once and it wasn’t until 6.30am. He was very wet again though but I got him to the bathroom and changed him as before. Night 3 The alarm went off once again. Night 4 The alarm went off once again and I was getting tired and a little disheartened - although kept up the positive demeanour for my son! I did realise it might take weeks to see any progress and was prepared to stick with it. Night 5 He said before bed ‘I’m going to try really hard tonight not to do a wee’... and to my amazement he woke up at 8am dry! We were both stunned! He was over the moon to get a gold star on his chart! Then the next night was the same, and the next, and the next... I couldn’t believe it had worked so quickly!! After a few dry nights I was feeling brave and let him go to bed without the pull up... still dry! And the last couple I have let him sleep without the alarm too... still dry! He is so much happier and I’m absolutely delighted for him. What a wonderful product this is, and very good value. I am so, so thankful that I found it and have already recommended it to friends. Just amazing and life changing. THANK YOU!!!!

Very effective, worked brilliantly, never looked back!
I had to review this amazing product as it has changed my daughter's and my life completely! Having a 9 year old who still wets the bed frequently - virtually every night is distressing and tiring. Seeking help from the health visitor, I was offered an afternoon workshop (which was on a day I worked) and then being put on the waiting list for the bed wetting alarm which is being used in the local area. I had tried various psychological approaches - buying CD's and recordings that we listened to each night in the hope that subliminal messages might work and I was afraid of the effect of an alarm waking my daughter, and the whole house, loudly every night. However, enough was enough, I went online and ordered the pink wet stop for a fraction of the price of the Malm ones. It arrived promptly and my daughter was up for giving something new a go. Stars and a sticker chart are included with a star for every night, even if wet, as it shows the child tried, which is very motivating. She continued to be wet every night for 7 nights with the alarm and I immediately rushed to her every night to sort her out although she was better at getting to the toilet with only a drop in her bed. Still feeling frustrated, we persevered. She was then dry for 8 consecutive nights and for the first time in years we had all slept all night. She had 2 more wet nights and that has been it - never wet again since for 6 months plus. This is a super product, pink to appeal to girls, stars are good. We ended up putting one sensor in her pants and the other on her shoulder or arm of short sleeved pyjamas too bulky anywhere else. Alarm is loud and jolts her awake but it is a more pleasant noise than others on the market. After giving up all hope this product worked. She obviously needed that conditioning at night and knew what to do to not set the alarm off. For a few weeks she woke in the night to go to the toilet with no alarm sounding and now she has a full night's sleep which is better for all of us. Would highly recommend this product and it is worth persevering. I felt it was important to see it as a challenge to complete together rather than something the child feels they have to do by themselves.

Great product!
Bought this product for my 6 year old boy after trying all sorts of different methods (lifting/waking/incentives/no nappy) to no success, and within 4 weeks of using it he is dry 90% of nights! The first night we set the device with the alarm and woke at 3 in the morning to my son crying and unable to turn the device off, obviously soaking wet. Some reviews have said the alarm isn't that loud but it really is! We thought it was the fire alarm! My son was unable to turn the alarm off because the sensor was wet so the button doesn't actually turn the alarm off so going forward we set the device to vibrate and my son had to unplug it so it didn't keep going off while he went for a wee, then plug it back in. For that reason I would say this device would only work for an older child. He used the device for a few weeks and had a couple of near misses but for the last 2 weeks he has been dry and is no longer using it. You need a little patience and it isn't perfect but it really does work. I tried looking into the science of it and I can't understand it but he is now much more aware and as I write this has been dry for 1 week without the alarm!

Life changing!
I don't normally review stuff, but in this circumstance I will, purely because this alarm has been invaluable in getting my 6 year old dry at night. Like many others we'd tried restricting drinks, lifting her to urinate before we went to bed, star charts...the lot. In short, nothing worked. Her desire to get out of pull ups, and advice from our GP about how to get her dry led us down the alarm route. We didn't want to use medication which was also an option. This is alarm is compact and easy to use. It is very sensitive to any moisture and therefore alarms as soon as the child starts to urinate. My daughter couldn't turn it off for herself as it involves pressing and holding down the button on the unit, after you've taken it anyway for the wet area it's clipped too. So we all had to be onboard with getting her dry and listen out for the alarm! A word of warning, the first couple of weeks we're not easy...in fact they were exhausting, but worth it. The alarm beeps loudly and the unit that clips to the child's PJ top vibrates. The good thing was that it never failed to wake our daughter, who is a very heavy sleeper. The down side was that in those first 2 weeks she was so shocked, disorientated and confused as to what was going on when it went off, that she was often not entirely awake, but really quite distressed which was hard to see. However after the first week that became less of an issue and she was getting herself up when it went off, rather than shouting for us, she still didn't much like it, but, she wanted to continue and she was making it to the loo to finish urinating. After 2 weeks she had a run of dry nights, with the odd accident. A month after starting it she was dry and has been since. She is incredibly pleased with herself and much more confident, wanting to have a sleep over. I would advise starting this In a school holiday. Our daughter sleeps 12 hours generally and to start with she was up 3 times a night and found it hard to go back to sleep. She was very tired, that however improved quickly, but that first week was hard! Overall this is great value for money, and it's achieved what we've been trying to do for a year in the space of a month. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it,

Very frustrated with this product.
When this device works it's brilliant. But it doesn't work for 80% of the time. I bought this in October and from the start the alarm would not turn off. I had to disconnect the cable and press the button a dozen times before the alarm was silent. My daughter found this very distressing at first as it is very loud. The alarm is supposed to cycle through different sounds so the child does not grow used to it and sleep through. This never happened, not from the moment we got it. Inevitably my daughter slept through the alarm after a couple of weeks and it was down to me to get up and wake her when I heard it go off. Still we persevered and by Christmas my daughter was dry. Just as well as the alarm now does not work at all. I would have liked to keep putting it on her for security but it's totally dead. Now, two weeks later, she's started wetting the bed again. After weeks of sleepless nights I could scream. I am unable to contact the seller as Amazon doesn't seem to give me this option for this item, I don't understand why. If I could I would have rather than leave this review, to give them a chance to rectify the problem. If the seller would like to contact me and send me a new device that actually works I will be happy to review the new product and take this one down. It's such a shame as the idea is fantastic, such a pity that the device isn't up to the job.

Fantastic Product!
This has really been nothing short of amazing!! I was sceptical as my doctor had said that 6.5yrs old was still young to not be dry at night, but my daughter was starting to resent wearing pull-ups. Her twin brother had been dry at night from the age of 2 years and 3 months, so she was 4 years behind him!! Each time we tried training before, she would wet the bed 3 or 4 times a night, never waking up when she wet, it was only when we went to lift or check on her we found she was already wet. She had NEVER had a dry night. The first 2 nights of using the alarm she woke 3 times each night when the alarm sounded. She is a heavy sleeper and so was very disorientated and not at all happy to be taken out of bed to go to the loo!! She didn't even remember waking the next day. After that, we had about a week or so of waking twice a night by the alarm at various times (no pattern) but almost straight away she was 'finishing off' her wee in the toilet so the alarm was obviously stopping her mid-flow which was a good sign. We then had about a week of alarm only sounding once per night, again always finishing in the toilet. We had 1 dry night, then 1 night with 1 alarm followed by 9 consecutive dry nights so far!!! Only 1 of these 9 nights has she even woken to go to the toilet (without setting off the alarm). The other nights she has slept roughly 10-11 hours straight with no accidents. I AM AMAZED!! The alarm is very easy to use and is small enough that it doesn't get in the way of comfortable sleeping positions. It is loud enough to wake us in the next room, but didn't disturb my son at all. It's very easy to wipe and put back on after it sounds, my daughter couldn't manage this herself as she was always so sleepy (walking into walls if I didn't guide her to the bathroom) but this hasn't stopped it being effective. The best part for me was that I could clip it to her underwear and then pop a pull-up over the top to catch any accidents, so there was never a need to strip the bed in the middle of the night!! And it saves on huge amounts of washing too!! Last night she wore 2 pairs of knickers to keep it in place with no pull up ... needless to say she's very pleased with herself!! This was a middle of the range device price wise, but I can't imagine what else you would want or need from a bed-wetting alarm and so why pay more?? Wish I'd bought it earlier, but main thing is we seem to have finally cracked it at last!!

Not great but doesn't take the piss either.
My 9 year old son had a Malem alarm from the NHS but, for shame, we lost it. Although it was better than this, it isn't £50-worth-of-better so I think it's probably worth trying the Wet Stop first if you are buying it yourself. They work on the same principle and they genuinely do work as long as you are consistent and follow the other recommended measures - such as drinking 6 glasses of water a day and no drinks within 2 hours of bedtime. The reason I have only given this three stars is because the quality is questionable. It worked perfectly for the first two weeks, then stopped. We tried new batteries and troubleshooting etc. but it just stopped working. I suspect it's the sensor but when I investigated getting a new cable myself, they were £14.95, which seems ridiculous. Amazon customer service were excellent when I got in touch and just gave me a refund straight away, so I'm not out of pocket but it's still annoying. I'm not going to re-buy it as I don't see the point.

Worked like a miracle for my son!
The product arrived promptly and was great value :) We started using this with my 7year old son who has only had one or two dry nights in his life. We have never had a problem with that, but recently he was invited to a sleepover and this prompted him to want to see the school nurse for assistance. He has a small bladder capacity for his age and the nurse had mentioned both alarm and medication, but given the potential non serious common and more serious uncommon side affects, as a family we decided medication is not a choice we want to make at this stage. As part of his treatment, my son drinks about 1200 ml water per day and we kept this up through the whole alarm process. First (and I highly recommend this) I read the comprehensive cd rom that comes along with alarm which was really helpful. Then I showed my son how it worked and explained how it clips in to his underware. (Important as he had assumed it clipped on his skin!). I took my son thorough 10 visualisations, getting him to imagine it going off (and using a cloth to set it off so he knew sound) and then holding his wee mid flow and getting to the toilet. We used it under a pull up, used a night light in his room and the landing and took turns sleeping alongside him for support. It is extremely easy to use and very sensitive which is what you want. We used the chart provided to track progress and also noted when he set alarm off and when he got up up without. !!!!!!*****To my sheer amazement, after 1 week of 3 alarms per night, 1/2 a week of 2 alarms per night and 1/2 a week of 1 alarm per night he now (for 10 nights in a row) has been either sleeping soundly all night DRY or WAKING himself without the alarm and going to the toilet himself!!!!!!!!******:) :) :) He is so pleased with himself and I am so proud of him for taking control for himself at such a young age. I cannot recommend the product highly enough. If this review helps one more parent chose a wet stop alarm and helps their child get dry it will have done its job :)

Chegou antes do esperado, tudo certinho.
