Permatex 09103 Windshield Repair Kit, Professional Quality repairs, No mixing required,Resin Cures by natural sunlight, Easy to follow Instructions 1 x 0.75ml

I've just completed the process on my 2 series BMW screen (not yet 1yr old) in less than ideal conditions. A month ago we had two on our Audi screen done professionally -not Permatex, for £40 and were disappointed that the damage was still very visible. Results with the Permatex are EXCELLENT and the damage is now invisible except for a tiny mark about pin head size where the stone hit the screen. Tips- Do read right through the instructions before starting because the temperature range is important, it was just 10C when I did mine, and also getting direct sunlight on the screen to cure the resin when it's been injected is necessary, cloud only for me so it took a few hours but still cured. Don't worry about cleaning excess resin off your screen afterwards because the razor blade and some glass cleaner will do that. Do follow the advice to put a cloth or paper towel below the damage on the screen to prevent excess resin running down, perhaps on to the screen edge or body work. Just ordered another in case I need it! I needed it and for a larger 'bulls eye' than before. Again, the result was excellent and except for a small section of crack a couple of millimetres long it removed all traces of the damage except a tiny chip mark. Far superior than the 'professional. repair at £40 a go.

For some reason the Rain-X kit has a lower rating than this one, but there are a number videos on YouTube that suggest it's the better choice. This one works, it's fiddly and is easy to use too much resin with the tunnel, leading to some mess when you take it off. I dropped the resin in as opposed to inserting the resin tube, and had to use a piece of wire to break the air bubbles and make it fall in. There are instructions from Permatex on YouTube - be sure to watch them a number of times. It seems to be relevant to an older version of the kit, though. The instructions say to cut off a couple of mm from the resin tube, but it seems that the new tube design with the twist-off end stop (not a cap) opens a small hole anyway. Easy to use, works well

It is west of money. It didn’t do anything on windscreen. I will not recommend this item.

I used this kit for a 50mm crack on my car windscreen, the tube of glass resin is very tiny and i should think is for one use only - especially if you use the large syringe that comes with the kit - sadly although it cured nicely in the sun, the crack is still very visible on my windscreen all i can hope is that it has sealed the crack and it won't run any bigger - The kit you get is not good value for money at all - there are cheaper and better equipped repair kits on amazon.

A brilliant product. I don’t always write reviews however this is worth my time. My car had a chip about 1mm deepest and 5mm in diameter on the windscreen. I simply followed the instructions and an hour and a half later it had all but disappeared. Simply brilliant.

Fantastic. Not too difficult to use. It has repaired the chip on my windscreen perfectly. Delighted. I think good value for money.

高速走行時に飛び石でフロントガラス中央に小傷ができました。近所にリペアショップが見当たらなかったのと、小さめの傷だったのでDIY製品で対処しようと思いました。 同じような商品がいくつか用意されていたので非常に迷いましたが、最終的にレビューを参考に購入を決めました。 日本語の説明書がないことはわかっていましたが、「傷を密閉して減圧し、樹脂を傷の奥まで浸透させる→樹脂を日光にあてて硬化させる→余分な樹脂を付属のカミソリで整えて完成」という流れが写真とともになんとなくわかります。 あとは、減圧し続ける時間や、硬化させる時間をきちんと守ればたいてい成功するのではないかと思います。 付属している注射器や、ガラスに貼り付ける器具や両面テープ、UV硬化樹脂、カミソリといった同梱品がどれも高品質で、つくりがしっかりしているところに関心しました。 気温は10度程度で真冬の日差しでしたが、樹脂はしっかり硬化し、傷もほぼわからなくなりました。 目的が達成できて非常に満足しています。作業時間は、減圧、硬化の待ち時間をすべて入れて５０分くらいでした。 樹脂の耐久性については分かりませんので、その後の様子については何か変化があればレビューしたいと思います。

It did a good job for windshield repair. Although it could never remove the big chip completely as magic, it perfectly filled all small cracks which should stop them from spreading further. I would definitely recommend this product.

I was driving along and a truck came out of a construction site and kicked up a series of stones towards my vehicle. I heard a loud crack and some other noises. When I got home I found a chip near the rear view mirror. I ordered one of these kits, washed the car to remove impacted dirt, let it dry and went about fixing the problem. I had considered one of the windshield repair stores but their prices deterred me and my car is relatively old. It was time for low cost solutions. The process is a little esoteric and involves sticking a plastic mount onto the windshield and then pouring the filler compound into the mount, then varying the air pressure in the mount by means of attaching a syringe and raising and lowering the plunger and leaving it in position for a set period of time. After that you wipe up the excess, stick a little of the acrylic material on a curing strip and apply it over the damaged area and drive the car into the sun. All of this can only be done in relatively warm weather, check instructions for temperature requirements. When I got the car outside I examined the windshield and guess what, there was another chip, and when I looked more closely there was yet another one, although more minor. I ordered kits to repair these two damaged areas and when I was all done I am sure I was able to fix all three for dramatically less than the windshield repair companies charge. The repairs look good and the good news is that they are all repaired as if lef chips can become cracks and then they spread and you are looking at a new windshield. The kit was relatively easy to use and saved a lot of money so I am happy I used it.

É um pouco trabalhoso seguir todas as etapas de reparo. Mas o resultado foi igual de um profissional. A resina é bem sensível ao UV. Na sobra enquanto aplicando a resina, ela mantém bastante fluidez. Mas depois leva o carro ao sol a resina endureceu em 15 minutos como o manual explica. Se fosse mais barato ia comprar mais. Tem mais batidas na para-brisa...

A windscreen "repair" kit that works. It can't save every time, but worth it for hits that haven't really radiated yet. Makes the bullseye etc a lot less distracting, and we've had repairs that helped hold a screen together for years. Better than the time and money on new.
