Leef iBridge 3 256 GB Mobile Memory - Black

I don’t often write product or restaurant reviews, but I was particularly impressed by the Leef Ibridge...It is really well designed, and has a high quality feel. It comes with a free downloadable app that is easy to use. The Leef has proved particularly useful when backing up or transferring photos from my iPhone; in particular, transferring photos of my children to their grandparents, without the need of iTunes or email! I also loaded a bunch of videos on it, so that long car or plane journeys are more enjoyable…and it doesn’t fill the iPad’s low memory!Here is a quick overview of what I liked:Unit / Hardware:- Nicely designed; it tucks behind the phone, so you can still type and hold the phone normally. I tried another brand before, which stuck out below the phone and just got in the way.- It can be used on Apple multiple devices: iPhones, iPads, etc. You just need to download the free app and you’re ready to go.- It has security which, when enabled in the app, allows it to be unlocked with your fingerprint (similar to your iPhone or a banking app)- It comes with a protective keyring, so you can have it with you wherever you go.App:- Quick to download and very easy to use; it has a clear, icon based layout.- The app recognises which file type is saved and automatically categorises them by type: photos, videos, documents.- Allows you to backup or transfer photos, videos, files, contact, etc., without the need of iTunes or email.- A little icon also signifies which photos / videos have already been copied or backed up to the Ibridge.- It gives you the option to copy and then delete photos on the source. This is better than having to delete each photo individually after you copy it, as is the case with the other brand I tried!- The app links with Cloud services like DropBox, Box, Google Drive & iCloud, so you can store large files or videos there and only download when you need them. You can also save content straight to the Ibridge, bypassing the phone’s memory.- Finally, you can take photos or videos straight to the Bridge…very useful for school plays or sports matches!It is a little more expensive than other similar products, but it is well worth it when you consider the functionality & design. My previous product from the big brand, Sandisk, was not as easy to use, has less functionality, and seemed to be poorly made.

It’s always bugged me that I could expand the memory on my android devices but not my apple devices. It use to be a bind to transfer my photos via email to my lap top ... but not anymore..The Leef ibridge 3 is a wonderful piece of kit. Once you’ve downloaded the app you can transfer photos, vids and docs to the Leef then plug into your lap top and copy across. The Leef also asks if you want to delete originals off your phone, iPad or iPod etc. and you can also transfer from leef to phone/iPad etc. I haven’t tried it with music files though, as I use an iPod and use cloud for this. The Leef recognises the file extension too. It has a file manager, so you can create folders to organise your data. Simple insertion into the lap top, and opens up just like a memory stick, which enable you to transfer files from lap top to Leef..I’ve found this extremely handy, as I can download PDFs to the Leef to carry about with me... if I need to send these via email to others, simply plug into my device, open and email over.. Yes, I could pay and increase my cloud limit, but prefer to have a sleek memory stick that’s on my key ring.The bonus is that you can pin protect your Leef too

Absolutely dreadful, unusable. Unrecognisable by my mother's iPhone. Will recognise that something is plugged in however the app is no help, even the help center is no help as the company is inactive and the help area doesn't exist anymore.After researching for far too long, much time wasted, I discovered someone describing how the gadget might need an update, however when trying to download the installer from their official website, my computer flagged a virus being downloaded so I could not update the gadget either.Also, (and this is partly my fault) I couldn't work out how to open the packaging without slightly damaging the packaging and therefore cannot return as is technically now damaged.Money wasted, should be delisted from Amazon. Absolutely shocking.

The current version now works with IOS 11. It comes in an oval rubber case, which is a little fiddly-I would not attach it to a key ring- this is why it only gets 4*.Data transfer is fine, albeit slightly slow, but I have just transferred two 2 hour films, which run well. I wasn't sure what to do with music files, so put them in a new folder and again this runs perfectly. So far so good.

This is an easy way to transfer photos from your iPhone to free up storage space .I only wish you could back up your music using this device too but I believe it’s down to copyright issues as to why you can’t .

I bought this device having had a problem with a similar device made by a different company I found the app easy to use and its presentation was far slicker and very clear.

You have to use two ofthere apps for saving photos or docs etc .I wanted an easy to use iOS usb without using other apps .I would buy a better one if I was buying again

So easy to use stored all my videos and photos leaving my mobile loads of storage
