Excited 7 year old
This was given for a gift to 7 year old who loves any sort of technology. He has tried some of the suggestions and is delighted with this gift.

Good beginner book
A lovely book for a beginner. It has some good projects and my son is learning a lot from it. Much preferred to another book we purchased. And this one is actually sold by raspberry pi with one of their packages. The author works for the company.

Excellent introductory book
Probably the best introductory book. It covers all the things you need to know about Raspberry Pi, while the flow is consistent and clear. I have adopted it as the textbook in my STEM class (personal use - teacher's guide).

Great for kids
As you can tell from the cover, this might not be aimed at grown ups! It's ideal for youngsters aged 9-11 with a thirst for coding. Using the familiar Scratch as one of its starting points, it builds up quite accessibly to more advanced projects. More advanced for a 9-12 year old that is.If you're a grown up with some coding knowledge, this isn't for you. If you want to encourage the young Turing at home, it is.

A good introduction but definitely not awesome.
The last couple of chapters of this are very good when it gets into adding a little bit of hardware to the pi but the early chapters are really just a standard introduction to programming with scratch, python and other environments which good as they may be are not specific to the raspberry Pi. That is pretty much a fault of all the raspberry pi books though, they all start with treating it as a generic computer before investigating what it can really do and do well. The only thing that annoys me with this is that it is a little unfair to treat it as "9 awesome projects" unless your idea of awesome is moving an animated cat across a screen.A good introduction but definitely not awesome.

A book to be kept on your main RPi shelf
I could call it a Classic already. For anyone starting on RPi, I would recommend this book, before many others claiming the same 'for begginers' approach. I rented for several times from my local library, then I decided to have it on my shelf among others maybe also underated by some segments of readers.

This is a pretty impressive read
This is a pretty impressive read! I got busy right away, trying out the projects described in the book. Luckily, I have a Raspberry Pi computer, all set up and running! Adventures in Raspberry Pi is an apt title.

Aside from that the book is great.
There were two very important help internet addresses in the first few chapters that led you to a commercial site. One should have been the companion site. I needed to verify a python script but was not able to find this site. Very, very frustration. Aside from that the book is great.
