A fun way to help your kids become better readers
My son is 8 years old and when it comes to reading, if it doesn’t interest him, he doesn’t want any parts, so when I saw the Pokémon mad libs I thought it would be worth a try. Needless to say he loves it. He has so much fun and after each one he is so excited to read the short stories. Even if Pokémon isn’t your kids thing, there are plenty of options and they teach kids how to use nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc., in a really fun way. I’ll definitely be getting more.

If you know Mad Libs you know that they're the sort of game parents will find vaguely amusing once or twice but kids will laugh at again and again. This is more of the same, with a series of 1 page stories about various Pokemon characters that become hysterical (well to seven year olds) by adding adjectives like stinky and nouns like butt. These books work best when you have a few kids of the right age who can enjoy them among themselves, I would not recommend them for parents with one young kids because they will soon tire of them. If you're worried about the educational value, they actually do play a role in teaching the different types of words and grammar in a fun and subtle way.

Great Mad Libs Book
