Another great book by Florence Scovel, further enhanced by the exercise provided by Hillary Hawkins. Full of quotes from the Bible with their metaphysical explanations. Every chapter ends with exercises to help assimilate the lessons to get to a realization.

Florence Scovel Shinn's books have made an enormous impact on my life for the better. Though written in a different time, the themes, insights, and words of wisdom she shared are timeless. I have read the Secret Door to Success and her others again and again to absorb all I can from her teachings.

This is an amazing book. Having loved her book The Game of Life and How to Play It for decades since my mother gave me a copy, I was interested to read this book. Similarly to the other book, this one offers profound wisdom based on the Bible, although with a somewhat spiritualist tone that was common in her day. It is encouraging, and best of all--being based on the Bible--what she says to do actually works. Her books are easy to read, and the real-life stories of people who have had miracles occur from following her Bible-based advice are inspiring. I advise you not to lend your copies out to anyone; just buy them their own copy. Otherwise, you may not get yours back.

I love all of Florence Scovel-Shinn's book. She an amazing metaphysical writer and this book is another must read.

When I first started reading, I wasn't quite sure where this book was going. It started out a little too religious for my preference until I realized what the real message was. It's basically a different interpretation of the bible into something more spiritual than organized religion. It's not at all preachy and really isn't about religion so much as it's about getting in tune with God (who ever you perceive him or her to be) and getting your life dialed into that rhythm. Once you do, the universe starts to fall in line for you and things that were once difficult and impossible become much easier to address and deal with. It's all about being on the right wavelength so that you can open the doors to letting good come into your life. You can ask God for anything. Shinn even believes we can ask God for material things like money or a better house--that God wants to give us all that we desire as long as we are on the path of God. You can't receive good by putting out bad. When you are on the right track, doors open and you will get what you ask for. It's a matter of believing, of asking, of concentrating on what you want, of inviting it into your life, and making a place for it to stay.

Florence was just a superb writer. She gives the reader a very easy read with all her examples and down to earth writing style. The content is very organized and you can grab the essence of her thought. Along with very easy suggestions to better your own life at any age the person is, no matter if its 1930 or 2011.

This book has become like a bible to me. Whenever I'm frustrated by a circumstance or feeling uninspired, I pick up this book and thumb through. It's one of those books you can open and turn to any page to begin reading. There's something worthwhile on every page. Her words remind me where I want to be and how to get myself out of where I don't want to be. I keep it in my magazine rack full time.

I liked Bible quotes preceding each chapter and Florence's explanations and then relating them to the current day. She writes a lot of sense and gives guidance. Would recommend.

Amazing

This is very simple and some of it will be things you have heard before. A lot of this stuff is used in modern self help literature. However, its still totally worth reading. There is something about the straightforward narrative that just makes it work. I love the biblicalreferences too.
