For best results, Humane Acne Wash must be used consistently and left on skin for a minimum of 1-2 minutes before rinsing. Benzoyl peroxide needs time to oxidize and absorb.

What if I have a skin condition such as eczema, psoriasis or rosacea?

If you suffer from a skin condition in addition to acne, we recommend you speak with a dermatologist before trying any over-the-counter acne treatment.

Why doesn't this foam and lather up like other washes l've used?

Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) is an ingredient that allows products to foam or lather. It has the potential to cause skin irritation and sensitivity. We wouldn't want to put this on our skin and believe our customers wouldn't either.

Help! I'm breaking out more than I was before.

One of two things is happening: The treated skin is purging or you're having a new product reaction. These reactions should subside over time but will differ from person to person. Any legitimate skincare treatment takes time and consistency to work.
