Jim Dunlop PVP103 Jazz III Variety Picks (Pack of 6)

I bought these on a whim having run low of previous cheap picks. I've always been rather clumsy with picks so would buy cheap but decided to experiment by buying this variety pack from a high quality producer. Honestly I can never go back. Each pack contains enough picks to make it worth the money, as well a big enough variety to justify its label. Its been a luxury to try different picks, all with different sizes, points, and grip for different playing techniques and songs. I would 100% say that they have improved my playing by a long stretch. I now know the best type of pick for me to buy should I lose them but the picks are mostly similar enough so that losing 1 doesnt completely make them redundant. Any player that has never spend a lot of picks because its "just a piece of plastic" I urge you to spend that little bit extra this one time just to try out, even more experienced players who think that maybe the pick theyve used for years is all they ever need could find themselves discovering that theyve been a bit shut off for too long Great product. 10/10

Well you haven’t tried the jazz picks and you are curious? Buy this set and you have the chance to understand which one fits you.

I’ve tried a wide variety of picks in different styles and designs, but the Dunlop Jazz III picks are my absolute favorite for daily electric guitar playing. These picks are smaller than standard ones, encouraging an ideal grip position. This design keeps your hand closer to the strings, allowing for quicker strumming and making it easier to mute strings or add the warm tone of your fingers to your playing. The grip is excellent, especially if you struggle with sweaty palms like I do. I’ve also shared a photo to compare the Jazz III with other picks for reference!

These are pretty good, I recommend them if you've been wanting to try Jazz III but not sure what size or material you want.

Good

I like these pick because they are thick and very grippy, but nimble too

I never imagined I'd review picks, but here I am. They are all extremely comfortable to use thanks to the subtle indentation for the thumb on one side of the picks, they are just that little bit less inclined to get dropped and they might even add a little accuracy to my playing because the grip is a little more sure and a lot less tense. I'm finding uses for the smaller and larger sizes alike, my speed picking is better with a smaller pick than the usual ones, and the larger picks feel a lot more secure, and I think have added a smidgin of accuracy and tone to the more jazzy things I play using the larger ones - which add a bit of authority and clarity. I've always thought that a pick was a pretty standard thing, but evidently not. I'm liking these like no others I've owned this past 40 years of playing. It just surprises me that I took so long to realise that there are so many nuances to the picks we use. If you're starting out and thinking like I did, that any pick will do - try these and you'll almost certainly gravitate to one or two from the set (they're all very usable, but we'll all have preferences).

Having heard a lot of amazing things about the Jazz III picks I was really curious to try them. But which ones do I get? Thankfully I came across this variety pack and it is a great way to test out a variety of sizes, materials etc to see what you like. The pack consists of; Nylon Jazz III Red Nylon Max Grip Jazz III Carbon Fiber Nylon Jazz III XL Black Tortex Jazz M3 Green Ultex Jazz III Ultex Jazz III XL After playing through them I found that the regular Jazz III's are a bit small for me. I am torn between the nylon and ultex Jazz III XL. Both feel great for me. Really glad I tried this pack. It always helps to have a variety of different picks, I often find myself using 2 or 3 different types of picks when recording one song. I love playing these XL's but find it harder to pinch harmonic so use other picks for them. Overall, love the pack, if you want to try new picks but don't know which to go for, get this pack!

Good well priced product

As someone who plays guitar and is particular about gear, I really appreciate this Jazz III variety pack. It’s a great way to test out different textures and materials to see which works best for my style. The quality is exactly what you expect from Dunlop, and they hold up very well during long sessions. Highly recommended if you're looking to refine your pick preference.
