Ok these boots are very well made the material is top quality however....... I wear a size 9.5/10 the 10 was way to small, ordered an 11 (never before) and they fit ok. These boots are very stiff and will have to be broken in over time!I finally wore the boots around the house for an hour they did loosen up to my satisfaction.

I got these in white a few years ago... have put probably a few hundred walking miles on them. They are my go to comfy winter boots. Decided I needed to expand my options and found these green ones... just as amazing as my white ones.The broke in after a few wears and the leather softened quickly. They are tough, but look so delicate. Love them!

THE BOOTS OF MY DREAMS! I am a huge Frye fan, positively addicted to the timeless style and superior craftsmanship of their boots. I currently have seven pairs...which is really 6 pairs too many because not only are they fairly expensive, but they last forever. One of the things I love about this brand is their consistent sizing across all models; it's such a relief to just be able to order an 8.5 online, in any style, and *know* without a doubt that it will fit (whereas so many other companies play stupid games with their sizing). However, these might just be the last pair of Frye boots I ever buy because--GAME OVER, Veronica wins!!! If there were an official Venn Diagram of "Badass" and "Classy," Veronica Combat boots would be that place in the center. First off, they really do look like the old-school combat boots I used to rock in high school; comfortable and surprisingly lightweight, yet weatherproof and sturdy, the perfect kicks for wearing around the city (because you want to look your best but never know when you might have to put your foot in someone's ass). And as for that classic style, I could weep tears of actual joy that Frye refrained from ruining this perfect ankle boot with a tacky zipper; the lace-up shaft is just the right height to wear with skinny jeans or cropped pants, and they look equally fly with a dress and tights or a skirt and leggings. I have to admit, the stone-wash finish was not my first choice, but 8.5s in regular black seemed to be sold out everywhere so I took a chance and I'm so glad I did! The stone wash looked a little bit splotchy and contrived right out of the box, but they actually look amazing now that the boot itself is broken in more, like they're naturally (and badassly) weathered. Not that these babies needed any breaking in in terms of comfort; they absolutely cradled my foot with a perfect, feels-like-custom-made fit the minute I put them on. I disagree with other reviewers who recommended sizing up because of the stiff toe-box: the very bottom of the toe box rubbed my left pinky a bit, but they loosened up after a day or two of wearing and I never even got a blister. Now I wear them everywhere, all day, everyday: to the office, out on the weekend, even hanging around the house in sweatpants. I love love LOVE these boots and cannot recommend them enough!

First off, I love the style of these boots and the look of the stone washed leather. Especially for being a distressed leather these started out really stiff and the stiffest part was the area around the top of my foot. After reading a bunch of reviews about how these ran small, but knowing that I own another pair of Frye boots that are size 7 I was confused. I often wear a 7.5, so I ordered that thinking it was a half size bigger than my other boots that are the same brand. When I first tried them on I was disappointed. My feet are neither wide or narrow, but the laces came up short for the height of the boots. They also felt really tight in the instep even though the length and toe box seemed right on and they generally felt similar to my other boots. I ordered the 8's to compare because amazon prime is great like that. I also ordered a set of longer laces. Once I tried on the 8's and then the 7.5's again I knew 7.5 was the correct size- my heal slipped around in the 8's, but the instep still felt just as stiff as with the 7.5's. I wore the 7.5s around my house for a little while because I wanted to make sure they fit and found that the leather gets softer after even a short time (like 30 minutes.) The 7.5's seem to fit exactly the same as my 7's of a different style, so I agree with other reviews that these run small, and the leather is surprisingly stiff. If you're thinking about ordering these I recommend trying on different sizes and comparing.

Some reviewers sized down, because they thought these Veronica Combat Boots would look like clown shoes or make their feet look huge. But if you size up, you can lace up the boots and your ankles will look slender! I've always purchased 6.5 in Frye, despite the toebox always being too narrow. (My sneaker size is 6.5.) I had a pair of Veronica Combats in 6.5 a while ago but sold them without regrets because the laces seemed too short and the toebox pinched. (It never occurred to me that I should have gone up to size 7.) I recently had an occasion to wear my Frye Harness 8R's for several days in a row, for several hours each day, and realized I needed to size up. I found these Veronica Combats on sale in size 7 and grabbed them. Not only am I more comfortable in size 7, but I can lace up these boots (unlike the 6.5, which made my ankles look fat). I thought I should wear the same size in boots that I do in sneakers, but I learned my lesson. I love these boots!

The leather is nice and soft, of good quality. Sole margin is brown, not black. They have more of a delicate look, rather than punk-rock one. Still cool though. Expect to have to break them in. Cheers

I bought half a size up and they fit perfectly. The boots are well made and soft, design and stitching are as per every other Veronica Combat out there however the brand / size markings and labels on leather and on soles are either missing or very different from the pair I already own and from those sold by the manufacturing company proper. Are these seconds? Copies?

I don’t doubt that they are authentic Frye boots however the quality is definitely not up to par. I have many (many many) pairs of Frye boots and bags so I am familiar with the high craftsmanship of their footwear. While these are very nice boots, they just a bit…cheaper. And the laces are horrendous. I also ALWAYS wear a size six with Frye and these are so small. Like, bordering on unwearable but I will wear them and grin and bear it because they are nice. I am expecting blisters.

These boots are cheapest on Amazon. They are an expensive boot but you get what you pay for! Worth every penny as they look much more expensive than any other. I didn’t need a shoe horn to get them on my foot and I found them super comfy right out of the box. I do suggest a half size bigger than you regularly wear.

Love, love these Frye Combat boot in Forest suede. I am a size 7-7.5 depending on model. They had such a good price on a size 8, that I figured I would take a chance. Well they are about 1/2 size too big, which is fine. Fits like a 8 in length, so I have room for a thick sock. They are made narrow, but after 1/2 hr, I can feel them mold to the foot comfortably. The suede is a gorgeous dark deep green, that make a perfect colour for autumn. They smell wonderfully of leather, and they are leather lined on the inside, making them nice and thick. At under a $100, these boots were a steal . These will be well loved for a long time. Thanks Amazon!!
