Works for mycology
The course verm is great for mycology. I thought it would be an issue, but it breaks down nicely. Good product at a decent price. Make sure you are getting free shipping tho, bc these bags are heavy.

Yeah buddy
Big chunks! Good substrate with minimal shake/dust at the bottom of the bag. Worth the +price vs. normal or fine grade, fs.

Great value, and quality!
Overall after receiving this product I will have to say that it is a great value and great quality. I have not ordered a product like this before online, but after receiving it and using it to start seeds, I would say that I definitely would recommend this product compared to big box store for the same thing cost much more. Arrived in packaged in a cardboard box which was nice to keep it from being damaged or popping holes inside of the bag. I would definitely recommend this product.

Much larger vermiculite pieces than those in coarse. Best for large pots and outdoors.
I grow most of our veggies and herbs and have been using course vermiculite of the same brand. I ordered the super course this time because the course was not available at the time. Although the pieces do vary somewhat, most of the pieces are very large. I can use the super coarse in larger pots of soil, but the pieces would be too large for small pots. If you plan to use this vermiculite outdoors, it would be perfect. Since receiving this bag of super course vermiculite, the course has become available. So, I also ordered a bag of the course. I can use both sizes, and may combine them for some purposes. The included pictures shows the difference between the course and super course vermiculite. UPDATE 09/05/24: This bag is now about 3/4 gone, and I am noticing as I get to the bottom of the bag, there are a lot of smaller pieces and some dust. I suppose the variety of sizes is fine, but I don't appreciate the amount of dust that has settled to the bottom of the bag. I will likely buy another bag of the vermiculite for the larger pieces, but I would appreciate less dust at the bottom of the bag that will probably be thrown out. I hope this review was helpful for you.

Great for gardens
I put this in my garden that is about 25'x25'. I only used one bag and got a thin layer over everything. I think next year I'll add another bag or two. The product helps keeps the soil fluffy and moist. I wish vermiculite was cheaper in general, but this was the best deal per cubic foot I could find.

Second time buying this!!!
I have a 8x4 square foot garden. I have discovered that this vermiculite is outstanding when mixed 1/3 with Peat Moss and mushroom compost for my square-foot garden. My tomato crop was so good last year that I re-purchased this vermiculite again So that I could add additional soil depth to my garden this year. I highly recommend recommend this as a much cheaper alternative to buying multiple small bags at your local flower garden shop.

Useful gardening product
The weather in our area can get very hot and the rain is not always as often as it should be. This product helps maintain the needed moisture levels during these times. The large bag ensures we will have enough for the entire season.
