Tin cans no longer have the same type of lip. Items ranging from soups to tuna two cans vegetables have different thicknesses and depth and mini handheld openers. Do not work well. It has been a long time since we had tried electric can opener and this one had very good reviews. We have been extremely happy with it and it is a very good value. We highly recommend it John J. Hogan.

I thought I would try this new brand so I could have a matching set of toaster and electric can opener. The quality has been very disappointing. Toaster is working but the plastic push down button is flimsy and doesn't stay flat over the metal lever which makes the button sit just a little crooked. I'm not sure if the button will break over time. Now as for the can openers: The plastic housing on both units is thin. You can see the metal frame with mounting holes through the white plastic on the front of both units. First unit clicked repeatedly while the motor was running like something was banging around inside. The second "replacement" unit had a small discolored stain like an orange speck on the top of the unit. If it worked I wouldn't care but this time the motor took a while to wind down after pressing the lever and I heard a very mild clicking sound similar to the first unit. I am very disappointed in this brand and will never purchase from them again.

It is nice but is more of an off white in color than white. But it will work for now.

A bit disappointed in quality. Cheap plastic. Everything else I have purchased of this brand has been great quality and I have recommended to others. The knife sharpener, which is why I bought it, is totally manual. I will be careful when purchasing this brand in the future. It will open a can.

Works well great price

I don’t typically write reviews, but this product was so frustrating that I felt obligated to warn others. I’ve been cooking for over 20 years, and this is hands-down the worst kitchen appliance I have EVER purchased. This can opener simply does not work—period. It might catch for a second or two, but then it releases the can almost immediately. It doesn’t grip properly, and instead of opening the can, it actually pushes it down and disengages. I tried everything—holding the can in place, adjusting positioning, going slowly—but nothing makes a difference. It fails every single time. The entire point of buying an electric can opener is for convenience and ease. Instead, I spend more time fighting with this than I would using a manual one. It makes a simple task unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. Honestly, if there were an option for zero stars, I would choose it. This product is completely ineffective and not worth your money!! I will be replacing it immediately.

Product simply does not work.... Keeps dropping the can, (even if you try to hold it there in place)... Going in the dumpster. I'd give it less than 1 star if possible for frustration along. Unbelievable poor design.
