These shoes are amazing! Far superior to the grip socks most often worn for barre classes. These fit true to size and stay put during class - no slipping around like is typical with grip socks. I wear a 6-6.5 and ordered a size 6. They fit perfectly. They do look small when not on your feet but stretch when you put them on for a snug fit.

Good for Barre Class-Runs Small
This product has great potential. I use it 1-hr per day for 5-7 days per week at Barre class (yoga-pilates-ballet). They fit like a sock, but have the rubber bottom for traction. However, the rubber bottom is only at the heel and base of foot, leaving the arch not supported. I have found it does cause a little bit of achy-ness of the arch, but I do go to barre 5-7 days per week. When my foot becomes sweaty, the shoe holds pretty good, aIthough, I'm not a really high sweaty person to begin with. Your foot may move around a bit, but it wasn't bad. I am a size 7 in sandals and 7.5 in gym shoes. I purchased a 7 and an 8. Both were a bit tight on the strap and it felt like my toes were pushing out through the front. I purchased a 9 and they seemed to feel less stretched and more comfortable. My toes do still come past the rubber base in the front, but doesn't really bother me. They may stretch out as time goes on, but I'm not sure yet. The alternative shoe type is the one with the full sole and toes from another company. I personally don't like when my toes are individually wrapped in something. My friend has the toe barre shoes and loves them. I may try that if these don't work out, but so far so good.Pros:-fits thin like a sock (not balky)-has rubber traction on bottom to prevent sliding-has strap over foot for less movement in shoe (more sturdy)-lightweight and breathable (helps decrease some sweating)Cons:-Runs small, may need to go up 1-2 sizes-rubber sole does not cover arch (arch not supported)

I really wanted to like these shoes
I really wanted to like these shoes... I do like the fit, as well as the material. The shoe feels comfortable on my feet. But, due to the material of the shoes I got sweaty feet quickly in them and felt I was sliding inside the shoe during my barre workout, which was somewhat annoying...

Great for Yoga and Barre
I’m really glad I listened to so many reviewers who said these run a bit small. I am a pretty reliable size 6 and I bought a 7 for a perfect fit. I really like the thickness of the rubber on the soles of these shoes. I take yoga and barre classes via Peloton on rubber flooring. Even in bare feet when I’d go not downward dog my feet would slip. Incidentally, the flooring is Rubber-Cal flooring (3/8” thick and wonderful for heavy equipment like the Peloton Tread and a True commercial elliptical machine) but my feet stay put in these shoes while I’m going through the postures. Also, like so many others, I agree that there is no arch support in these. I can’t imagine padding around the house in them all day if I’m on my feet prepping food, cleaning, etc. They are fabulous for their intended purpose in my view, and I’d consider wearing them on a plane or for a long car ride just for the sake of comfort, but for me they are really for yoga and barre.

Just what I needed for cool weather yoga!
I wear a size 7, ordered a 7, they fit great and are comfortable with my bunions. These shoes don’t slip on the yoga mat when moving between poses and while holding them…good grips on soles. I purchased them to keep my feet warm while practicing yoga in the winter (socks slip) and they totally fulfill this need. Super pleased and highly recommend!

Well made and comfortable
Ok, fair warning, I'm not the target audience for these shoes. I bought them to wear at work when I'm just not feeling like wearing something with an inflexible sole. As someone who has struggled to have enough small muscle control in my ankles to have good balance and now practices martial arts to keep it that way, I'm one of those people who would go barefoot most of the time if I could because I have much better balance when I can really flex and roll my feet as I move. But I do have a 9-5 office job where I'm expected to dress appropriately, and most of the normal pairs of shoes I've tried don't allow for the kind of tactile feedback I'm most comfortable with. These have proven to be a really nice compromise. They're also great for those days when my shoes get soaked on the way in and need to dry off. Because there's nothing worse than spending all day with cold, wet feet. Yuck!

Great Minimalist Yoga/Barre Shoe
Love the mesh bag they come with that keeps them together and allows them to air out. They also have a nonskid heel pad built into the shoe to keep your feet from sliding around inside the shoe. The shoe is truly minimalist and as close to barefoot as a shoe with rubber can be!
