VERY VERSATILE AND EASY INSTALLATION-5 BRIGHT ADJUSTABLE LIGHTS-4 LIGHTING MODES-REMOTE CONTROL
I have reviewed several solar-powered yard lights and this set of 2 lights is very versatile with several installation options, 5 highly adjustable bright lights and 4 useful operational modes. I am very impressed and consider this product to have the best combination of features and options.Installation options:1) Install the solar panel and the light separately using the 16.5 foot solar cable. Each has a base which requires four screws (included).2) Install the solar panel and the light on a larger base (included) which requires four screws. The light base slips into brackets on the larger base and the solar panel base slips into the same bracket with a locking tab to secure it.3) Or mix and match using the larger base for the light, which is heavier.NOTE: Before first time use, you need to move the MASTER ON/OFF switch to on - it functions like a circuit breaker. The switch is on the under side of the light in a soft white plastic shield (do not remove it as it is for waterproofing). My only complaint is that the case does NOT have an ON/OFF imprint. Gently push the switch away from the onboard mode button and solar connection port (see pic with the ON arrow). The solar panel is highly adjustable. The five lights are highly adjustable. (see pics)The lights have three brightness modes - dim, medium and bright depending on which lighting mode you select. Lighting Modes:1) AUTO nighttime- off, motion detection bright for 18-20 seconds, off.2) Low - dim light, motion detection bright for 18-20 seconds, dim.3) Medium - medium light all night, no motion detection (this is sufficient to light our deck so that we can watch our nightly visitors (raccoons and possums)).4) AUTO daytime+nighttime - off, motion detection bright for 18-20 seconds, off.The instructions are easy to read (decent font size) and are easy to follow with included graphics. The motion detection is very sensitive and the area lighted reaches from one end of our house to the other and into the woods beyond the lawn.I substituted self-drilling deck screws for the ones included (easier to use) and combined the solar panel and light using the large base. One I installed on our second story deck (mode 3) and the other I installed on the upper deck railing facing the yard and forest below (mode 1).We are very pleased with these solar lights and they appear sturdy enough to last years despite our heavy winter wind, rain and snow fall. I charged the battery for 2 days before activating them - they get full sunlight for most of the day.
