This unit is well suited for smaller dogs as the unit doesn't hold much hair. I have to empty the canister 4 to 5 times while grooming a Coton. Probably have to empty it at least twice while grooming the smooth haired small dogs. It would almost be impractical for larger dogs but doable. That being said, I love the low noise of the unit. The razor is actually pretty good for a rechargeable unit and last a good amount of time. I usually have to charge after 2 small dogs. The ease of use and less mess is well worth the cost of the unit. Give it a try!@

I don’t write reviews often but I was very impressed with this product. I have two dogs that are very sensitive about vacuums, particularly my larger dog. She also happens to be an Australian Shepherd mix so she has soft, fine hair and a lot of it. She sheds like she’s starting a wig factory. She is also picky about brushes. Using this vacuum on her was so easy I was shocked. She liked the brush that comes with it, and she didn’t mind the noise, even in the topped out level . (This is the dog that attacks the vacuum even when it’s off). She enjoyed it so much that she even let me brush her tail and her fluff butt (which she is super sensitive about and won’t let me brush it with a normal brush). This is a game changer for her daily grooming and I love it! My other dog is a Scotty and I’m tired of paying exorbitant amounts of money to get him groomed, just to have him come home 8 hours later with extreme anxiety. I used the electric sheers to give him a trim and it was a breeze! He wasn’t thrilled but he tolerated it well. And it only took me 2 hours to wash, dry, and cut his hair, and he was looking pretty shaggy. Now he feels like velvet. The vacuum was strong enough to suck up majority of the hair and kept it pretty clean. I trimmed him in the tub and while there was a little hair, it was nothing compared to how much was in the vacuum. A couple of nice features are the nail trimmers, which seemed to work well, and the different comb lengths for the sheers. (Although they skip sizes, coming in 3, 6, 9, ,12, 18, and 23, which was a little annoying to not have the exact length I wanted, but it still worked out). The hair container on the vacuum has a unique way of spinning the hair around, which creates a nice ball of hair that is so easy and satisfying to dispose of. It comes out all together (which is a pro when your dog has fine hair that likes to stick to everything). I cannot recommend this enough. You will not regret this purchase.

I used the trimmer to groom my 11-year-old Shih Tzu. She has been professionally groomed her whole life, and this was my first time grooming her. It took less than an hour, and I did it while sitting on the floor. It was so easy. The vacuum picks up all the mess while you trim. The suction helps with the hair-cutting process. The machine is quiet, and my dog tolerated it very well. My Belgian Malinois also joined the fun and got a good brushing with the brush attachment. It basically vacuums the hair right off a shedding dog. Gently. This is not a shop vacuum! I wish I'd had this 2 dogs ago. Amazing product; I highly recommend it.

I use this to shave my border collie every summer and it works great, the canister is a bit small so it does fill up quick but I’ve never had an issue with the trimmers, would definitely recommend. I have also used this on my cat and it doesn’t freak him out.

I have had this for over two years and it’s worked awesome for every single dog I have used it on. I’m replacing the blade after two years only because it has broken and started to wear even the replacement part is fairly reasonably priced. It is noisy and easy to use. I use it to groom the dogs and my mom uses it to clean up pet hair. Battery life I have absolutely no problems it can last hours and probably 3-4 grooms.
