Best Frother, HANDS DOWN‼️
By no means is this frother perfect, BUT it is the best one you can get to date (2024). As an avid coffee drinker and meat head, I’ve gone through my fair share of frothers with purposes of whipping up a nice milk for my occasional lattes or mixing my protein powders/pre workouts. Most generic frothers last few weeks even to a few months with most of them kicking the bucket for a plethora of reasons. Subliminal has finally stepped up to the plate to engineer something that’s basically overkill. First thing I noticed was the build quality. Nice sturdy plastics with a nice weight in the hand. Then you notice the rigid frothing shaft that’s at least twice if not triple the girth of your generic flimsy frothers, this tells me this will stand the test of time (more than a few months). Lastly, once you pop some batteries in there, man this thing KICKS! I have never imagined a battery operated frother could whiz this hard! The added filter screen I thought was a gimmick initially actually is kinda genius. It allows for a consistent froth, but even better for me it helps break down clumps in my protein shakes. If you’re in the market for another frother or new to this frother life STOP LOOKING AROUND THIS IS THE ONLY ONE YOU WILL EVER NEED!

Go lithium
Save the extra money and buy the lithium version. The press fit to connect the impeller and motor to the battery housing is problematic and should not have made it past the drawing board. You can't ensure a tight fit, and that directly affects how fast the impeller spins. What tutorials say requires 5-10 seconds take 2-3x that. I tried different batteries, tried adjusting my grip to keep it tight, and still nothing worked to my liking.I will say that the lithium one I bought instead of this has worked flawlessly. Subminimal makes good products, and I don't think this is an indictment of their entire brand, but it's clearly a case of the cheaper version being unusable when compared to the more expensive one.

Very satisfied! An absolute game-changer for any milk drinks.
The frother gets the milk foamy in under 30 seconds! It takes just two minutes (heat, froth, pour) to prepare your fancy lattes, hot chocolates, and, honestly, any drink that makes sense to you—even just plain ol' milk, lol. The frother elevates the drink to a whole new experience! The thick layer of foam on the surface has the texture of a marshmallow, and the rest of the drink has a satisfyingly satiating creaminess! The gadget is about the length of a toothbrush, and operates on two replaceable AA batteries (so need for packing cables). It can get a little messy, but that's easily resolved by not filling your cup more than 2/3s its height. You can submerge the frother near the base of the cup before pressing the start button to minimize the initial splash, too. This frother is all you actually need to get started making latte art or even just to have fun making and drinking foam. What's more, the purchase came with a free masterclass in latte art by a two-time world champion. I'm still practicing, and I couldn't have been more proud of my first try (thanks to the intuitive explanations and the thorough video demonstrations). I'm not a serious latte artist, so of course, I didn't buy any of the extra stuff like a cappuccino cup and milk pitcher. Nonetheless, I'm telling you that you can still enjoy basic latte art. It's a fun 3-second (the time it takes to pour the foam) hobby to start your day with, or, if you're like me, whenever you want a milk drink to pair with any meal or snack. If you do want to become a serious latte artist, the video has progressively more designs for you to practice with, and you could always google or experiment with your own designs.I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a simple tool to elevate their drink experience and/or find a creative hobby.

Impeller broke only after 5 months
I had this for 5 months before the plastic impeller broke. The body is quality but until they get higher quality parts for the impeller I’d stay away.

My first milk foamer
I use this every day with fat free half and half for 2.5 months. It never foamed well with the original batteries. The unit started to die but it was the batteries. New batteries made a difference. It now foams much better. I think the original batteries were weak. I foam with cold milk. It is said it foams better with fat in the milk.

Pair with a borosilicate milk frothing pitcher!
I love this frother as it is easy to make repeatably beatiful microfoamed milk. Others have sung the praises of this device and count me as a devotee. If you are using this device rather than a steam wand on an espresso machine, you will need a container to heat the milk and a container to make the micro foam and potentially a pouring container. You can make this trifecta of containers a single container if you have a microwave. Amazon sells several similar borosilicate milk frothing pitchers that will help make the process quicker, easier, and more repeatable with less cleanup. The borosilicate pitchers have the proper shape for making micro foam with an nanofoamer and pouring its latte art if desired. They have markings to let you make the heating and blending very repeatable and reliable and with easy clean up.Whether I’m making my coffee with an aero press or a nespresso machine the routine is similar:. Start the coffee water heating. measure 200 ml of milk into pitcher and microwave it (less than 2 minutes on most microwaves and easy to dial in) - make coffee - make nano foam. BAM: a beautiful latte or cortado in minutes. Cleanup is a snap, the expertise required is easily achievable

Does the job!
However, I feel it drains AA lithium batteries pretty quick after measuring with a voltmeter… If you plan to use regularly, I recommend just going with the built-in lithium battery version to save money (and output more power). Honestly, this version is no longer needed if there’s one that’s more efficient. I plan to sell.
