Substantial material, good length.
This is a little low on my hips (I'm nearly five eight), so that is why the three stars. Usually I like a fold-over waist, because it's good for concealing a tummy, but these were a bit low to do that (without really being low rider). FYI - I am short waisted. Someone long-waisted probably wouldn't have this issue.I don't know if I'm going to be rolling it down. However, I don't understand those who have found the material insubstantial - the material feels sturdy, strong, and not opaque at all. I like the length and the leg opening. I'm going to keep this for inner tube float trips and boat trips. I have also read that it will give you nowhere to hide (camel toe) so you need a swim pant underneath, but really, you don't. I have no complaints about the material. Someone said it showed all the imperfections in the parts of you body that it covers, but when I tried it on, it did not. It's plenty thick material. My main reservation is that if you are tall, or are built so that you need a deep rise, this might be too low to fold the waistband over. However, I'm going to wear it with tops that fall over my hips.I had never heard of Private Island swimwear. I ordered some because I'm about to take a vacation in Mexico, don't have enough swimwear, and didn't want to spend a fortune. I am pleasantly surprised at the fit and quality of these pieces. This swim capri is probably the trickiest as far as sizing, but I have no complaints whatsoever about the quality.ETA I am editing because I've returned from my Mexico trip and these really came in handy. I definitely wore them as capris. It was blazing hot in Playa del Carmen while I was there, and these were very comfortable. I took them with me on an excursion and changed into them after the cenote excursion was done. Put my swimwear in a bag and pulled these on with a shirt over them. They were perfect, particularly since they're swim material as well, so I could explore the beach where we ate an early dinner. I also got into the pool to use the swim up bar in them. They're just very convenient to have around - a pair of lightweight summer pants made of opaque material that keep you cool, but you can also swim in them. I like the little slit in the bottom.

If you have any cellulite or do not have straight hips do not buy!
If you have a lot of cellulite like I do, it will show every single little dimple. NOT flattering at all. Not the color, not the cut, not the dimpling......ugh. I bought the pink because it was the cheapest in my size....$5.95 when I ordered them. I figured I could just wear them around the house if I didn't like them. Well, I hate them so much I haven't even done that yet, but for $5.95 it wasn't worth to bother returning them. If I wear them with a long t-shirt or cover up, they'd be ok I suppose.Just so others can get a feel for sizing....I am 35" in the waist, and 45" in the hips. Even though these fit, I could use a little more room in the hips. They aren't tight feeling, but they just show too much. With this kind of material though, I don't think it would matter if I went up a size or even two sizes as it clings anyway. The waist is actually too large on me. Unrolled, it goes up to right underneath my breasts, and is very loose. If I roll it down, then my pouch of a stomach shows too much. It's extremely unflattering, especially for hour glass figures I guess! The pink DOES show through a little bit, because I put these on with dark purple underwear underneath, and you could see the darkness through it. Not that they were purple, but that area was darker than the rest of the pants. The legs come down to the very top of my ankles. I am 5'3". In the images, it shows them ending a few inches before that....mid-calf. So if you are short, they might be long on you. These are like full length pants on me that are about 1/2" too short. They are way too long on me to be called "capri". That model in the image, must be at least 5'7" or more for them to hit her where they do. The "flare" at the bottom fits me like it does the model. It does not have a bell shape at all on me, and looks natural being a little loose there, they are just a few inches more down the leg....practically to the top of my foot. If I had a full length mirror, I'd take a picture to show what they look like on me.The crotch on the inside is not made for wearing without some sort of underwear or bikini bottom. Obviously made by a man, cause it will slide up the front where it would hurt or irritate to wear without something else to protect our sensitive parts. It's not a thin seam either, it is quite thick vertically, and horizontally! Makes no sense that these were designed for women. They fit so horribly in every way. I should have known, cause they don't even look good in pink on the skinny model. The black would be far better if you have any fat at all on your body. Steer clear of the pink for sure! I don't know what I was thinking, except that I need more shorts, and summer items, and they were super cheap! On the plus side, they have little to no odor to them. That's really the only positive thing I can say, they are just awful fitting, and designed so poorly. They should only be made for super skinny people with no cellulite at all, and super straight hips and legs......men, maybe boys, but not in pink, lol.*This product was purchased at the going Prime rate at the time for this color and style for my own personal purchase, not a discounted "review" item.

GREAT, but definitely on the long side for "capri".
I have not had a chance to wear it in the water yet, but am already VERY happy with the smooth and comfortable way it feels. I will probably be wearing these pants for most of my vacation and will probably be ordering a couple more pair while they are on sale. And I do mean "pants", instead of capri. I am a short-ish gal at 5' 2", but the girl in the picture must be an amazon of a woman (no pun intended). These come just a couple inches above my ankles and the "pants" I ordered from the same company could be sewn at the bottom and used like footies. LOLI wear a size 18 to 20 pants and the size XXXL fits very comfortably... not very loose, but not tight. One final note... if you are a bit self-concious about your belly or butt (like I am) you will want to wear these with a shirt that comes down past the belly/butt. They don't hide any of those like your normal pants would.

Confusing Size Chart = Pants Down
I love love love these pants! I’m allergic to sunscreen and own a SUP, which is a scary combo. I wanted to be covered and comfortable so I ordered these pants. My legs are super short, so I figured capris would be pants on me and I was not disappointed. I ordered the 3X which felt like a comfy loose lounge pant when I put it on dry. Once I got off my board and into the ocean, the act of climbing back on my board left me with my pants down. Luckily, I was wearing a bathing suit underneath or that could have been SUPER awkward. I’ll still wear them (with the bathing suit insurance) and I plan on ordering them in a size or two smaller in a different color for some variety. I did find a pic my sister took of my backside sitting cross-legged and was impressed to see that my bathing suit wasn’t showing, so the waist on them is nice too.
