Sorry Have not had it apart to look at, never needed to?I would suggest asking Auto parts company's that supply car battery's or even caravan Battery's, they might even be Security battery's ??

Q: can this be used to power a strobe timing light just like a ordinary batt?

don't know for sure but it is a 12v power supply so can't see why it can't power a 12v strobe light.

Q: How do you charge it?

The pump comes with a mains adaptor. Plug it in and after about 8 hours the red light goes out to show it is fully charged.

Hi buddy, this gas jump started my motorhome on several occasions, so a little motor such as yours would be no problem. I've jumped started my Mercedes E320 diesel car as well, you must ensure its fully charged!I now carry this with my motor home for backup, in case the wife leaves the 12v habitation circuit on when we are hooked. When you connect to your car allow about 3-5 minutes for the unit to soak before jump starting. As per the instructions, works well !
